Older model (without OS) but bought as an "upgrade" on a aging Sigma 170-500mm. Excellent used item - used mostly for birds, focus is fast with D200 and D5200 pretty nippy with D70 too. Good color and sharpness in most uses. Don't expect $5000 lens performance but it's good on a budget. Heavy and solid. Needs light but with practice can be hand held with good results. Focus seems more precise on D200 than other bodies but still experimenting. Not much C/A

This was a used lens - rated excellent+ and it was indeed in excellent+ condition. The price was good, but I imagine that's because there's a new model out that has some stabilization features that this one does not. I'm happy with this lens. I could not have afforded the newer more expensive model. It's heavy and will shake my inexpensive tripod and does not conveniently fit in my current camera bags. And the filters are big and expensive too! This is not the fault of the lens tho! It's just part of getting a big long lens. I'm pleased with my purchase. I've shot some wildlife and landscapes and it's performed well.
