Great engineering, but display oversight by Sony designers.

Well It's 2021, Adorama is STILL selling this 16 year old piece of equipment (it is still listed as IN STOCK) on their website and NO reviews?? I have spent many years with the DMX-P01 slung on my shoulder recording sound for picture. From About 2006-2011 I owned this mixer and used it on commercials, tv shows, movies (low budget), documentary programs. It was sonically great to my ears. I believe that it was the first portable digital mixer. The only shortcoming is that the display only shows input gain levels or output levels, never both at the same time. Also there are no dedicated peaking indicators on the inputs. So if you are combining multiple inputs into a mono or stereo output the summed energy will require monitoring, however you will be in the dark as to which inputs may be near peaking. User experience and also if you happen to be using wireless receivers with good gain structure can compensate for this oversight on Sony's part. There are input limiters available and adjustable compression on the main outputs. My DMX-P01 now serves as a (very expensive) desktop speaker monitor volume mixer/headphone output for my computer workstation...still going strong.
