The planets and heavenly bodies never looked so great until I used a Tele Vue Barlow lens with my 9mm Nagler. I was able to see Jupiter & Saturn very clearly at 450X with my Meade 8" SCT. It makes a real difference when you use quality lenses! I strongly recommend that you switch to the Tele Vue Barlow lens, since it will make a world of a difference when you want to see crisp and detailed features on planets, nebulas and other magnificent objects in space.

I have Celestron 5SE and planets in my photos just seemed blurred and tiny. I read that this TeleVue barlow is amazing for planet photography so I decided to try it out. Well, simply put, it’s amazing! Planets in my photos are much sharper, bigger, and colorful. In addition, just using this barlow with eyepieces makes a big difference. Get it, you won’t regret it!

This is a well made Barlow that provides great views with additional eyepieces. It feels very heavy and consists of nice materials. Compared to other Barlow's I've gotten as part of a package this is a far superior product. 1.25" filters easily screw into the Barlow as well. Very sturdy, all around great product. You get what you pay for with Tele Vue.

I was very active in amateur astronomy in the 80/90/00. Aperture fever took me from an 8” Meade to a Celestron 11”. Never had a desire to own a Barlow. This TeleVue 2X has changed my mind. Works great with my far more portable 5”Celestron NexStar that better fits my advancing age! Another excellent product by TeleVue. Never buy any other brand!!

The Tele Vue 2X Barlow is far superior to the Barlow that came with my scope. For some time I have suspected that my disappointment when using a Barlow was because the Barlow I was using was of poor quality. The Tele Vue has renewed my faith in Barlows. Also, this Barlow comes apart so that I can just use the half that contains the optics. Helpful for astrophotography. The Tele Vue Powermates are even nicer, but kinda spendy.

I purchased the Tele Vue Barlow to replace the 2x Celestron Barlow that came with my telescope 8"sct. Using a 9mm Orion Expanse eyepiece I noticed a definite difference in contrast when viewing Mars and Jupiter May 2014.

I use it on Orion 8" It's OK for 15mm and up With 6mm it's unusable, with 10mm not so clear.

It is like the Barlow wasn't there. The image is just twice as big -- clear and sharp. If you haven't tried a televue eyepiece, you should know they are addictive.
