Works good on my Canon RP. Responsive and fast. Very clear. My only nitpick is the autofocus/manual focus can occasionally get jammed, and it takes a little forceful pressure to unlock it.

This is my second copy of this lens to own. I dropped the first on recently and got my second at a great price just slightly higher than repairing my old copy. I use this lens a ton when shooting architecture and interiors and a few shots during the day at weddings. Lens is very sharp out toward the edges. Focus is fast in good lighting a bit slower if I use it in dark receptions. If your a fan of filters this lens won't be to your liking with the bulb type lens. In conclusion tis is a great lens for the money. If you need a wide zoom this is a good choice!

I used it for the Milky Way and it was excellent. Very sharp throughout and it gathers light extraordinarily good for a 2.8.

Love this lens, my second one. Every bit as sharp as the first one. No complaints. I use it daily as a Real Estate Photographer.

There is something special about this lens. Looking back at thousands of pictures, I can tell which ones were taken with this Tokina. The colors and sharpness are unique. The only con is the cap, which tends to fall off, other than that this one is my go to wide lens.

Works great for real estate photography! Not many options for full frame unless you want to spend $

I am glad that I went with Lens by another photographer’s recommendation. I have only tested it a few times, but I am pleased with the results so far. It’s pretty sharp.

For the money, this is an excellent lens. It is very sharp under low light conditions and I like the ease of switching focus options. I would definitly recommend this lens to others.

The Tokina Lens is a very good value for the price in this 16 28mm range. I was looking for a reasonably priced lens in that range for a full frame camera and the Tokina fits the bill. My recommendation would be to stop down the aperture when possible to increase Depth of Field and create much more pleasing tonal results. It is slightly bigger and heavier than I expected though it seems well balanced when connected to my Canon 5D III body. This lens covers that important range for far less than the Canon lenses.

The Tokina 16-28mm on my Canon 5d Mark iii works great. Crisp/Clear Photos

The quality of built and quality of the picture is great, but the lens is very heavy, also 2LBs, and attached to my Mark III, which makes a canon to a cannon! Also, the ultra wide zoom lens is mainly use for landscape, which I assume in most sunny days, but this lens is hard to find CPL or even UV filter. Fotodiox makes the wonderpanan adapter for this lens, but cost $. Not even mention the size of the 145 mm filter, makes the camera looks funny.

I am not a PRO, i just casually shoot for enjoyment. Now that is out the way, this is a great lens. I am new to the perspective but think once i use it more and get the hang of it, I will get a better use out of it. The lens is heavy not sure why its so heavy but it is. There is minor fish eye (i dont know the term) when set at 16mm but when you push to 18 and above its fine. bottom line, great lens if you are looking for that wide angle shot. But be ready to hold a heavy camera when you do

First copy was de-centered, with left or right side out of focus, depending on whether using AF or manual focus. Second copy is sharp all across the frame, but neither copy autofocuses on my 5dM3 using Live-View contrast detect AF. It does accurately AF using viewfinder phase-detect AF. Image quality at 24mm far superior to the Canon EF 24-105 @ 24mm, both due to lack of distortion and much sharper edge to edge, even the far corners are sharp with the Tokina. It does require watching out for flare, as the lens protrudes a bit, especially at the 16mm end. Overall a good lens for the money if you can live without Live-View autofocus.

Since this lens was designed for a full frame camera, it is an ideal wide angle for my 5DMkII, and does the job very well. Just for fun, I also tried it out on my older 20D which was converted to IR, definitely a solid performer. ACR doesn't have a built in correction profile for this lens yet, I'm hoping that will come at some point.

This my first off brand lens I've purchased. After reading a lot of reviews I rented it. Within the first day I knew I would buy it! I could not believe how sharp & detailed this lens was. Then the colors were very surprising as well. I've shot L glass & non L glass and wasn't expecting an off brand lens to produce L glass colors! AF is fast & accurate and I am overall, so impressed with this lens. I don't use filters so that isn't an issue for my casual use with this lens. It's my only off brand and only zoom lens and it's staying in my bag!

Use this product primarily for urban wide angle photography and the lens captures a fairly wide angle of view compared to the canon 16-35 f/2.8 lens (as told by a buddy who has the canon 16-35 lens). F/2.8 allows usage in low light. Encountered minimal distortion in pictures of skyscrapers, though have seen purple coloration at the edge of buildings when blowing up pictures. The only drawback experienced so far is the inability to attach screw on filters. Trying to find a ring adaptor which can be attached to the front of the lens so that filters can be attached. Considered purchasing the canon 16-35 f/2.8 lens but since that is double the price, went with this one instead. The review in Popular Photography is quite helpful in case you need more info on this lens.

Tokina this week announced the Tokina Cinema ATX 11-16mm T3.0 and 16-28mm T3.0 lenses, desinged for Canon full-frame and APS DSLRs, and in the case of the 11-16mm lens, Panasonic Micro Four Thirds mirrorless interchangeable lens cam...
This Tokina lens is the first in a new generation of full frame (FX) lenses designed for professional digital SLR cameras like the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and the Nikon D700 and D3X. The 16-28 zoom range gives the professional photographer a super-wide angle of view to get close to subject for dramatic effect or to take in entire scenes.
NEW Silent DC Motor with GMR senor
The 16-28 f/2.8 uses a newly developed silent DC motor that allows the lens to focus faster and more quietly then previous generations. The DC motor coupled with a new GMR magnetic AF sensor work together to increase AF Speed.
Aspherical and Super-low Dispersion glass elements
A new, 56mm in diameter, large sizes aspherical glass element is incorporated into the front lens group, while there are 2 more aspherical elements in the rear group. 3 SD super-low dispersion glass elements are also incorporated through-out the optical design to reduce chromatic aberration, give maximum resolution, more even brightness and distortion correction.
One-Touch Focus Clutch
Tokina's exclusive One-touch Focus Clutch Mechanism allows the photographer to switch between AF and MF simply by snapping the focus ring forward for AF and back toward the camera to focus manually. There is no need to change the AF/MF switch on Nikon camera bodies* and there is no second AF/MF switch on the lens for Canon, everything is accomplished by the focus ring.
The lens is designed for digital cameras with full frame (FX= 24mmx36mm) sized CMOS and CCD sensors. It can be used on digital cameras with APS-C (DX) sizes sensors as well.
