The build quality and handling is excellent, consistent with my other Loxia lenses

Am using this lens with both a Sony A7M2 (FF) and a Sony A6500 (APSC). The build quality and handling is excellent, consistent with my other Loxia lenses (35mm & 50mm). I am not an experienced photog, so my experience in compariing lens performance is only with the Nikkor non-Ai, Ai and Ai-s lenses I have been using with Nikon F-to-Sony E adapters. The Loxia 25mm/f2.4 is providing superior results including handling (e.g., focus ease) , & compared to my Nikkor Ai-s 24mm/f2.8, and with the added bonus of providing electronic connection and settings data to the camera. Like other Loxia lenses, mounting and dismounting on thecamera is awkward dueto the minimal grip on the lense mount. Attached jpg photos (converted from dng in Lightroom and reduced quality to meet less than 10mb restriction) taken with A7m2.

Zeiss Loxia 25mm little gem.

It’s great to complete the set. This welcomed lens fills up the range with the same Zeiss optical quality that these Loxia primes offer from lens to lens, smooth close focusing, honest f-stops and all with matching front diameters (52mm).

The Loxia 2.4/25 is a wide-angle, E mount lens covering a full-frame sensor. The lens shares common features with the other four Loxia lenses, including a smooth manual focus, hard stops at infinity and close-focus, de-clickable manual aperture and 52mm filter diameters. The Loxia lenses are ideally suited for videographers in need of better focus control and street photographers who prefer to zone focus.
