I bought this lens specifically for real estate photography and it has been the perfect lens for what I need. I don?t personally use it for anything else, so I can?t say what else I would use it for, maybe landscape. I mostly shoot portrait and weddings and just do real estate here and there as a contractor. I love how lightweight it is in comparison to my primes. The only complaint I had is that it wasn?t super clear until after I bought it that it only worked with certain camera bodies. It did not work with the two bodies I had, and had to buy a new camera in order to use it. It worked out in the end but it definitely threw me for a loop as I didn?t see it until I opened that ?manual? that came with it. Not going to lie, probably my own mistake, but still nice to know for others who overlook that pertinent information. Hope this helps.

The Nikkor 10-20mm is a perfect fix into my range of lenses! I needed something just a little wider than my 18-55mm and this is perfect.

Good all around lens for the format, and for the price point. A little soft wide open (F-stop and focal point), but only if you know what you're looking for at that. Great lens for a beginner real estate photographer!

Decent quality for the money if you close it down to f8-f11. Not so sharp in the corners at the extremes of 10mm and 20mm. Worth the price.

This lens on my D7200 is awesome!!!! I finally have a wide angle lens that is sharp. The pulse motor is quick and silent. I highly recommend this lens.

Lens is much better than I expected.. does a great job for interior photos. I had been using the much more expensive Nikon 12-24 F4 for a long time but wanted a lighter weight similar lens for my wife to use. They both are great lenses.

It was the perfect addition to my camera lens options filling a capability I didn't have before. Only wish that I had purchased it sooner thinking about all the past opportunities I missed if I had only had this lens.

Overall good lens for architecture photography. Of course it doesn't compare to the swing and tilt of the vanishing 4x5.

I purchased this lens to take pictures of a cabin we built showing the interior. Could not be happier with this lens. There is some distortion of straight lines in some of the pics, but they can be easily addressed in post processing. Highly recommend!

This lens (on my Nikon D500) is perfect for Real Estate photography (especially at the 10mm end). I also use the 20mm end for wide angle landscapes. Great, versatile purchase.

Small light weight. On Z 50 it is equal to a 15mm to 30mm. The 16-50mm Z mount lens equals 24mm -75mm so it fills in the lower end very well. The front manual focus ring is easy to find. When the back button AF/AE button is set for focus holding it and turning the manual focus ring brings on the blue focus peaking highlights that are easy to see in the viewfinder. Be sure to put a UV filter on it as that front glass is vulnerable to hitting it. At 20mm the focus distance is a few inches. The lens hood is better for front protection than shading. It reverses on the lens so you always have it.

Great lens - really fast focus and smooth. Took a bunch of test shots at various f- stops and focal lengths - all very sharp.

What a nice piece of machinery! This lens fits very nicely into the desired range of mm sizes. It's light weight is a definite plus. Add to that the quick, silent focus and you have a real winner.

I really like this lens. I have always loved the look of wide angle lenses. I use it on my D7200, and even though you CAN'T turn off VR it is still usable with this combination - Even on a tripod. The manual actually states that it is suggested to leave VR on while shooting on a tripod anyways and I can confirm that I haven't noticed any sort of motion blur when using this lens on a tripod with VR still on. The autofocus is also fast and silent and has been very helpful in the video department for that reason!

They offer excellent service with great prices. I use to only buy from Amazon. I would buy from them because I checked a few prices on everyday items and they had the same as Walmart for the most part, but when it comes to camera equipment you can't do better than Adorama. I checked B&H, Amazon, 42St. Camera and a bunch of other companies. If you do a little research you will come up with the same conclusion. You will also save on tax, shipping, etc... by going with them. Price any camera equipment with Amazon and go through the checkout process without ordering and you will see a big difference if you are buying a camera or any other large item.

I use this lens for interior photos. I recently visited a railroad museum and used this lens inside of old railway cars. It is very effective. Distortion is evident but not a problem. Lens is lightweight and easy to use. I can take photos that would be impossible with my normal 50 mm lens.

Bought this wide angle 10-20mm to fill in the bottom range for my 18-200mm zoom and 35mm normal lenses that I keep in my bag. So far, it has exceeded my expectations for a lens in this price range. I use it with a Nikon D3300. I posted a few test photos in my backyard.

I’m a beginner that is just getting into photography, but this lense is probably the best investment i’ve made. The price point is great for someone who is just getting into photography, and doesn’t want to invest a lot of money right at the start, but the resulting pictures are of really high quality. So far I used it mainly for landscape images, but for what, it’s great. Amazing how much this lense can cover.

Have only used it a few times yet, but I really like it. The difference of only 8mm in focal length from my 18-55 kit lens is much more significant than it sounds when it comes to composing your shots. Sharpness is good, and works flawlessly on my D5300. (I installed the required firmware update before ever trying the lens). Only two complaints: 1) it flares when pointing into the sun, but any ultrawide will do that... you really do need to keep the included hood handy; 2) the lens cap rattles (yeah, I know, that's ridiculously nitpicky).

I bought this lens without reading the fine print. It is not fully compatible with most older camera bodies including the D7200. On the D7200, autofocus works, but there is no way to turn the VR off. I use my tripod a lot, so I turn off VR a lot. So this lens is a no go for me. The optics are apparently pretty good, based on other reviews, but I really can't stand the cheap plastic lens mount on these "economy" DX lenses. The feel OK on the newer 5xxx and 3xxx cameras, but on a heavier prosumer body like the D7200 these lenses feel like plastic toys. I returned this lens to Adorama, and they refunded my full amount no questions asked. Great return policy.

This is a low priced, cheaply built, very functional, effective super-wide. Works great, and if your budget is limited, Id say go for it. But it has a plastic mount which I dont like, and a narrow range which doesnt suit me. Tokina ultra-wides are a much higher build quality, just as sharp, and dont cost much more. But I dont like changing lenses any more than necessary, and Ive switched to the Nikon 16-80 mm F/2.8-4. Absolutely wonderful lens, wide enough for almost everything, fast, sharp, great VR, low distortion, wide range, but of course more expensive. But it performs at the level I expect, and I dont miss shots changing lenses. I also have a 14-24mm which is a jewel, but heavy, no VR, limited range, so it sits at home most of the time. But if you want an ultra wide Dx lens, you cant beat this one for the value and it works great.

As soon as I unwrapped the lens I stuck it on my D5500 and took pictures of the recent remodel we did here at the house. Great photos that I passed on to our contractor who is in the process of building his web page.

Perfect fit for my lens "Trivecta"
By Robert V.
To truly capture the feeling of a place, you need a lens wide enough to see the entire scene. Enter the AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR—an ultra-wide-angle zoom lens that's ideal for sprawling landscapes and cityscapes, architecture, interiors or just beautiful group photos. Its near-silent autofocusing and Vibration Reduction (VR) image stabilization make it a great choice for recording video, and its compact, lightweight design makes it a great travel companion. See what you've been missing with the AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR.
Ultra-wide-angle views and close focusing
With an ultra-wide-angle view that surpasses any kit lens, the AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR lets you play with composition in a new way—foreground, middle ground, background, symmetry, patterns, lines, dramatic skies and more. Get as close as 0.8 feet from your subject to create photos and videos with dramatic leading lines or to capture tight interior spaces with ease.
Despite its super compact, lightweight design, the AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR delivers huge performance. Vibration Reduction (VR) image stabilization ensures sharper handheld photos and videos and lets you use a slower shutter speed for brighter photos in low light. Three Aspherical (AS) Lens Elements nearly eliminates naturally occurring distortion and contributes to the lens' lightweight, compact design. Super Integrated Coating (SIC) cuts through ghosting and lens flare in backlit or cross-lit situations; retains maximum color and contrast. A 7-blade aperture design gives your photo and video backgrounds a beautifully soft, round blurring effect.
Near-silent, fast autofocus stepping motor
The AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR focuses like a dream. When shooting video, its smooth stepping motor keeps focusing noise to a minimum. If you need to make adjustments, you’ll appreciate the silky smooth manual operation. To eliminate unintentional changes to the VR ON/OFF and AF/MF settings, those controls have been moved to the camera menu, and their status can be easily verified in your camera’s information display.
A-M
A-M stands for Auto-Manual Mode. Thanks to a mechanism incorporated in the lens barrel, smooth focusing operation in Manual focus mode is realized in the same way as users have become accustomed to with conventional manual-focus lenses by adding an appropriate torque to the focus ring.
Aspherical Lens
A lens with a curved, non-spherical surface. Used to reduce aberrations and enable a more compact lens size. Aspherical lenses minimize coma and other types of lens aberrations, even when used at the widest aperture. They are particularly useful in correcting distortion in wide-angle lenses and help contribute to a lighter, more compact design by reducing the number of standard (spherical) elements necessary. Aspherical lens elements correct these distortions by continuously changing the refractive index from the center of the lens.
IF Lens
A NIKKOR lens in which only the internal lens group shifts during focusing. Thus, IF NIKKORS do not change in size during AF operation, allowing for compact, lightweight lenses capable of closer focusing distances. These lenses will be designated with the abbreviation IF on the lens barrel.
M/A
Select NIKKOR lenses have a focusing mode which allows switching from automatic to manual focusing with virtually no lag time by simply turning the focusing ring on the lens. This makes it possible to seamlessly switch to fine manual focusing while looking through the viewfinder.
Pulse Motor
Nikon's "P" series of NIKKOR lenses use a pulse motor (utilizing stepping motors) to focus smoother and quieter than previous drive systems. This quiet drive system makes the lenses ideal for use when shooting video.
Nikon Super Integrated Coating is Nikon's term for its multilayer coating of the optical elements in NIKKOR lenses.
VR - A Nikon in-lens technology that improves image stability by automatically compensating for camera shake.
