Outstanding Product

Forget best scope for the money (which it definitely is). This scope is amazing period. Very tough and rugged. Quality construction that you'd expect from Vortex. I've had mine for about 5 years now and have had zero issues with it.

Good Glass for the money

This is my 5th PST Viper. Great glass and features for the money. Did have to send back to repair loose magnification ring. Best warranty on the market. Would buy again

Viper PST 2.5-10x32 FFP MRAD

I have had this scope mounted on my 5.56mm SPR for almost 2 years now. It has been perfect for this application, very happy with the quality of the scope. MRAD reticle, clear glass and passes tracking test.

Bring back the light weight and mrad ffp

Finally found one of these unicorns after they discountinued them in favor of the gen II. Gen II is waaaaaay to heavy for what I was going to use it for (mountain rifle) and the LH scopes done have the simple but efficient mrad reticle options in ffp like this one. Vortex knocked this out of the park and I'm sad they don't have a equally great replacement yet

Great option for people on a budget

This is the scope that got me hooked on Vortex products. I bought it on sale from a large online seller... and I couldnt have been happier. Dollar for dollar you arent going to get a better quality housing or glass this clear. It has great eye relief and sight picture. The only issue anyone might have is that the cross hairs thin out a little on full zoom.... but if your eyesight is okay to good, you will be fine. the shim/return to zero setup is really nice option at this price point too.

Light, precise, clear and effective!

I purchased this scope for an AR platform over 2 years ago. Since mounting and zeroing the optic i have had zero issues. Clear glass, nice audible clicks, nice reticle, very durable. Overall, a great optic and a pleasure to use.

Under priced for the value

This scope is used on my medium distance, prairie dog AR. It’s lightweight and relatively compact dimensions, makes for a very light and packable rifle system. The adjustments are repeatable as well as return to zero is predictable. Optical clarity is far above its price point.

Great Scope for the price

Bought this for my AR-15 as a pig hunting setup and can't complain. I have had to optic for over a year now with no problems and great customer service from Vortex whenever needed. I will say the Gen II is worth getting over the Gen I.

Great features with room for improvement.

I bought this scope specifically for its magnification range and FFP setup. The illumination was an added benefit. I found the location of the brightness adjuster to interfer with my atv gun boot often times turning the illumination on with out knowing it, eventually working the battery cap off during travel and losing it. (Replaced no questions asked The loaction has been addressed with the Gen II version. The zero stop feature for the elevation is a niced added feature that at the time I didnt think id appreciate as much as I do. After one outing through some rather thick alder growth I discovered that both the elevation and windage had moved while traveling through the thick undergrowth, I was able to reset the elevation because of the zero stop but had not idea which direction the windage had turned and had to pass on a shot at a nice caribou. After rezeroing the windage at a range I determined it had moved 6 moa to the right. The difference between a pote tial miss and and a poorly placed shot! I think the scope would greatly benefit from locking or capped turrets especially to those who dont wish to step up to the price and weight of a Razor and have a FFP scope.

The Vortex Optics Viper PST 2.5-10x32 FFP Riflescope with Illuminated EBR-1 MOA Reticle features extra-low dispersion glass, an anodized aluminum housing and MOA-based EBR-1 illuminated reticle. This 2.5-10x zoom optic is well-suited for close to mid-range targeting. The single-piece 30mm main tube is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and anodized for corrosion-resistance. An argon-filled housing provides waterproof and fogproof performance even in humid and wet conditions.

Vortex Optics's extra-low dispersion XD glass transmits enhanced color fidelity and image clarity. Each air-to-glass surface is multicoated with anti-reflective XR lens coating that enhances image brightness and contrast. To protect lenses from scratches, ArmorTek coatings are applied to the exposed objective and ocular elements.

This version of the Viper Precision Shooting Tactical (PST) riflescope is configured with side focus parallax adjustment, an in-view fiber optic magnification indicator, fiber optic turret rotation indicator and night vision-compatible illuminated EBR-1 reticle with MOA subtension marks for improved ballistic calculations. This scope also features target-style windage and elevation turrets equipped with a proprietary zero stop function that allows quick and easy return to zero after temporary elevation correction.
