Review Summary
Vixen achromatic refractors provide pinpoint images of the stars as well as sharp images of the Moon and planets. Achromatic lenses, composed of convex crown glass and concave flint glass elements, reduce chromatic aberration and produce the bright and stable images associated with refractor telescopes.
All air-to-glass surfaces on the objective lens are multi-coated to maximize light transmission. Refractors are easy to maintain telescopes and are an excellent choice for beginners and experts.
The A102MWT comes standard with the red dot finder, flip mirror diagonal, 115mm tube rings, dovetail tube plate and new focus knobs.
Simply by putting a Celestial object on the Red Dot of light in the Dot Finder, the celestial object can be found in the field of view of the telescope. As no lens is used in the dot finder, celestial objects are easily seen in thier normal unmagnified state.
The optical path can be switched easily with the changeover knob of the Flip Mirror system, allowing swift transitions from star watching to astronomical photography. There is no change of the focus point even when switching the optical path. A T-ring attachment thread is provided for direct focus photography.
