Pretty easy to setup. Was able to get good footage with it with not much practice. As with all stabilizers, a vest/arm is recommended if you use it for more than a few minutes. I'll comment about the vest separate. I like being able to use a monopod and by adding my own quick-release on top, am able to take camera on & off w/o rebalancing. One negitive - the "pan" knob gets in the way some - would prefer it on the 'front' side. Comes with a balancing plate & C clamp - the optional universal clamp is not really needed.
