Powered by a removable lithium polymer battery, the FJ400 offers the freedom of on-location shooting with DC power and the convenience of AC trickle-charge performance when the state of charge is above 25%. The strobe maintains a stable color temperature of 5500K ( +/-150K) throughout its entire 9-stop output range, with flash increments of either 0.1 or 1.0 stops.
The FJ400 is designed with a 20W 5600K LED modeling lamp with auto-adjust and independent output control. Its safety features include onboard self-monitoring cooling fans and an automatic shutoff feature for safe operation. The extended flash tube provides optimal light output for a wider, even spread, perfect for filling light modifiers.
Equipped with a Bowens S-Type mounting system, the FJ400 is compatible with your favorite softbox. It comes with a Magnetic 5" Reflector, Magnetic CCT Gel Set, and a Rapid Box Switch Bowens Insert, allowing you to pair your strobe with any Rapid Box Switch light modifier. The built-in tilter bracket with a tension screw ensures secure mounting and positioning of large umbrellas and modifiers.
For wireless control of the FJ400's extensive features, pair it with the Westcott FJ-X2m Universal Wireless Trigger (sold separately). This trigger offers compatibility with most Canon, Nikon, Sony (with adapter), Fuji, Panasonic Lumix, and Olympus cameras. The FJ400 also includes a USB-C to USB-A cable for easy firmware updates.
