The printer is top. It is unfortunate that Xerox killed the E-Concierge, this was a major incentive to buy only Xerox and do not consider any other brands. I bought this printer just a month before the announcement.

We originally were looking at an all-in-one system, but we had some poor experiences in the past with the quality of printers. We decide instead to get a printer that does ONE thing and does it well. And that it does. We are very happy with this printer. The ease of use, and quality or prints make this the perfect printer for daily use where print quality is crucial.

The versa link C500 has been a great printer. I love the fact that it tells me when I need to replace ink, etc well ahead of time so I don't run out. Great machine!

Have already run 30k pages through the printer and had to order a new waste cartridge and new toner cartridges. the toner is expensive but waste cartridge not so expensive. However, the cartridges do not need to be replaced with meaningful frequency and the copies are crisp and good, no issues with toner smudging the page even on photo pages. Very happy with quality for price.

We LOVE the Versalink C500. We use it for our everyday office needs as well as server connections to our multiple locations. The colors are always bright and it prints large volumes of paper in a jiffy. We love this printer so much we have 6 in our office!

I bought this printer several years ago. It functions well, first time every time. I bought it because I do lots of card stock printing of items I later watercolor so I needed a printer that did not use ink as it is impossible to water color on ink printed copies. I also like to make colored copies. While the machine is reliable. I have two things I miss a great deal compared to an earlier model that used the original Laser printing process with powered colored laser toners. That printer from Xerox was considerably more expensive to purchase a bit more work and way more cost to purchase the printing supplies. However those laser color printed items were absolutely beautiful and I could do them very quickly on card stock! Even on the heavier water color printer paper. The Versa Link C500 is simply not in the same price range nor in the print quality range. However, if you need to simply makes lots of copies that do not need to be extra special then this is the machine for your home office. The other thing I miss is the ability to always talk to a tech person if I need help with the machine. The chat session way of making customers happy just is not the same a real person and it is huge waste of time to have to type in every bit of the information needed for the Robot helper to figure out what is needed. It may be cheaper for Xerox but sometimes cheaper is inviting the customer to buy cheap products at a big box store and replace every couple of years. A real Customer Service rep indicates that the company thinks enough of their customers that they supply reps who will talk to the customer to problem solve issues. I just can't understand why any company does cheaper customer service only to see that customer never buy from them again? The black print is excellent but the color print toners for the Versa C500 are simply not as good a color quality and not as sharp in print details as the old type of Laser toner supplied.

We received this printer as a follow-on from our old reliable Color Cube printer. We have been using it for over three years and have had no problems. The solid ink is easy to install and has a long life.

Print quality and speed are awesome, and the paper drawer takes the entire paper ream. We have two (2) of these in the office and never jammed or had any issues in about two (2) years. You need to be aware that you need to keep stock of four (4) toners, one (1) for each color (C,Y,M,K) plus a waste cartridge. Other than that, print, forget about this printer until you need to replace something.

This product performs quite well once you get it set up. Changing between different paper types though, is very challenging and does take time. The software features governing this device are cumbersome and clunky. If all your printing is standard 8" x 11" or 8" x 14" paper stock, this is your machine. However, there is a learning curve on changing between different types of paper such as heavy paper, card stock, or envelopes. It is definitely not intuitive, and is a bit complex, so it takes time as well (often more time than you really want to take to deal with it).

I have owned this machine for about 3 years. It was inexpensive and it is a color laser printer. I also own a more expensive and much older Xerox color laser printer. It is by far a Superior machine but the parts including the toner forced me to buy the C500. This newer machine is much smaller and therefore easier to move. The toner is still very spendy and not the same type as my former machine. Because of the newer toner the color printing is not as crisp or pretty but for most of my purposes this machine works nicely and it did not cost what the bigger color laser cost. Since my purchase time the Xerox site has changed their customer service connection and I find that very frustrating and wish that their customer service was more customer available. That is the major negative which now would apply to all their products. I have used Xerox products in these two machines totaling over 25 years!! I prefer Xerox and hope to see them make some changes back to more personal and available customer service.

Typically Xerox makes a great product, but this is not one of them. I have ink bleed onto the paper and the Xerox guy could not fix it. Also the replacement costs for the ink alone exceed the price of a new printer. Not to mention all the other maintenance items needed to use it.

I have a much older Xerox color laser printer which I still own but the toner has gotten more expensive than buying a new printer. The older printer is the best ever .The Versa 500 is very easy to use. The ouput time is great, the number of pages printed is certainly adequate a for home office use. However the toner is a different type than the older printer so the colors are washed out to a degree and not as clean or accurate to the actual colors I want printed. Toner is still very expensive so it would be nice to get better quality of colors printed. I will not buy in this line of printer again. I love working with Xerox but recenty they went to call back system or online help only and that is very discouraging while that is not a printer issue it certainly is a customer service issue. I would prefer to stay with Xerox but that change alone is asking me to explore other options for both the color laser printer which is a must for my work & the needed customer service to be able to call in for help. I still prefer Xerox as a company to support. The versa is fine for a mid range color laser printer and if that meets ones needs the price of it certainly a good choice.

I purchased this machine on March 26, 2021. On March 30, 2021 had technical support help me install it to my computer. Upon following directions I got a paper jam that could not be pulled out. The technician requested that a service technician contact me to repair the problem. He said I would be contacted that day for an appointment. It never happened. I called on March 31st was told I would be contacted that day NO CONTACT I called on April 1st was told I would be contacted that day for an appointment NO CONTACT I was told they had the wrong zip code when it was checked everything was correct. AN EXCUSE I called on April 5th and was told it was a high priority and wsould be contacted that day. NO CONTACT Today is April 6th and still NO CONTACT POOR SERVICE or NO SERVICE I have contacted service multiple times NO RESPONSE

First, I am hard-wired into the printer, not wifi. Very slow first page. Goes to sleep mode way too quickly. Time-consuming having to push the button after you pull out the tray to load or change paper before printing. Have to push OK too many times to print a letter on letterhead and then an envelope and then back to bond paper. The memory will only print 5 or six pages of a report before pausing. I bought as much memory as they sell. Toner usage is better than average. Xerox support is OK, but to get warranty service you have to belong to some club thing that I think I belong to but find that I don't when I call and when I try to set up the club account I find I have an account I can't get in to. When I call the service team back they tell me I don't have an account. For that reason, tech support gets an "F".

Really great overall printer. Economical and high quality prints. Had it for over a year and still works. Rated a bit lower on Ease of use because updating it wasnt working from the printer UI. But could update it by downloading the file manually. Can be a bit tricky to setup correctly, but this is same for any printer... Once its setup it delivers consistent results.

This is a solid product and is easy to use. It fits the stand that I use perfectly. I like the way it prints fast and prints quality copies both 2 sided and single. The control panel is really great because it tilts up where it is easy to read while sitting at the computer. The other item I like is that it lets me know when the print job is finished even if it is 1 copy or multiple copies. I am enjoying a job well done with this printer.

I am not happy with the number of buttons I have to push when I change from the main tray to the bypass tray. I should be able to out an envelope or letterhead page in the bypass and have the printer automatically print from the bypass tray without requiring a further touch command on the printer. The printer is slow for the first page, but fast from page two and beyond. Two-sided printing is fast and efficient.

Errors out for any and every reason. Even if you open the paper drawer you have to hit the OK button in order print. Too many cartridges and confusing for everyone who touches it. It would be okay for a very techy IT person, but not for the average work place environment. Print quality and speed are good, but not worth the hassle of constantly trying to figure out the errors messages.

I love this printer...except for the fact that it keeps losing wi-fi connectivity and I have to reconnect it and restart it before I can complete my print job. It's time consuming and aggravating.

We loved our three successive models of Xerox solid ink printers but decided to replace our latest one with the VersaLink when Xerox phased out the line. We were amazed at the print quality, the fast first page out time and the overall speed. This is a great printer. My only issue after a year of use is what seems to be the high cost of toner. But considering that service calls are free (even though we haven't needed any) if you're on the Xerox toner program I can't really complain.

This is my second Xerox printer which I have had. The first one a Phaser 6550 lasted more than 10 years without ever having a problem. One day it just died from cardiac arrest (RAM ERROR). So, I ordered this one and it came in one day. As I said, it had all I wanted and more. The more is that it is also wireless! Awesome machine.
