The F8n Pro boasts 8 inputs and 10 tracks, utilizing innovative 32-bit float technology to capture the full dynamic range of sounds. This technology, combined with dual A/D converters and professional-grade preamps, allows for clip-free audio recording without the need for constant gain adjustments. The F8n Pro's flexibility is further showcased with three outputs for external devices, headphones, and camera connections. This feature enables you to monitor your tracks pre- or post-fader, check levels, route signals, and set alert tones for battery and recording status. The device records in BWF-compatible WAV formats up to 32-bit resolution and at sample rates up to 192 kHz. It also features built-in processing for flexible signal routing from all inputs to all outputs, phase inversion, and Mid-Side decoding. High-pass filtering is also available to reduce wind and other ambient noise, ensuring your recordings are as clean as possible. The F8n Pro's state-of-the-art Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) generates time code at 0.2 ppm accuracy, keeping your tracks perfectly synced even when powered down. The Zoom AutoMix feature further enhances your recording experience by automatically adjusting the levels of your mix to reduce ambient sound. With the Zoom F8 Control App for iOS and Android, you can monitor signals, adjust levels, trigger transport controls, enter metadata, and more from your mobile device via Bluetooth. The F8n Pro also offers expanded control with the Zoom F-Control (FRC-8), featuring 60 mm faders and controls for trim, pan, and track-arming. Designed for long location shoots or remote fieldwork, the F8n Pro offers multiple power options and massive storage. It can operate for 5 hours using eight AA alkaline batteries or be powered by the included AD-19 AC adapter. External 9-18 volt DC battery packs can also be used with a 4-pin Hirose connector. The device can record simultaneously on two SD cards, up to 1TB each, for redundant recording.
