Like all Zoomcorp 32 bit recorders I've used, this one has great sound.  I replaced my M3s with these mics because they support timecode.  I can use them as 2 track recorders in addition to using the mic.  So I can set an audix stage mic plugged into the M4 and point the mic at the audience and get audience sounds to mix in.  Or really any other sounds.  Bonus tracks!

The most common use for me has been to mic up a piano for post production mixing for a radio show.
