Glenn N : How does the EF differ from the PL, other than the lens mount?TIMOTHY R : EF comes from DLSR mounted cameras and offer a wider range of lens choices. PL is a cinema/studio mount. You get the same results with either mount, just a broader selection of lens choices with the EF.MICHAEL K : There is no difference in the camera. The PL mount gives you other options for lenses. I found this info on line for you. PL mount: - Natively mount Canon PL lenses and most third party PL lenses. - PL stands for positive lock. There's a ring that locks the lens into place, making a very solid connection. - The PL mount actually allows the lens to be oriented in any of four different configurations. - The C300's PL mount does not have any electrical contacts at all. So no lens metadata will be transferred to the camera. EF mount: - Natively mount Canon EF and EF-S lenses (some EF-S may vignette) - Provides power for Canon in lens image stabilization - Can control aperture on the camera body - Focus can be controlled via Wi-Fi adapter - With most EF and EF-S lenses, the camera can do peripheral illumination correction - EF mount is a bayonet mount and was designed for still photography. The lens only mounts one way and is captured, but it's not a positive lock. The lens can have a small amount of rotational

THE BOSS

I have the C100, great camera for events, weddings, etc., but needed this C300 for shooting football from the sidelines. How does one describe the best camera he's ever had, shot. Quick, accurate, incredible, accurate shots I get shooting 60p. Great wedding camera to go along with my C100 at 24p. Expensive, yes, BUT, you get what you pay for. No regrets buying this one. Would do it all over again. Just read the specs and see what you get, then buy it.

In a word Excellent..!!

I'm a 30 year production specialist - been looking to purchase the Canon C300 for over a year. I've purchased cameras in the past from Adorama with good results.. all turned out to be Much better than expected. This Canon C300 came up for sale on their site... I pulled the trigger and haven't had a single regret... Great company Excellent products.. A+++
