Questions & Answers

Shopper : people in their reviews mentioned extenders. do they come with the strap or are they extras?SUSAN S : The extension connectors are extra. They come in Regular and Extra Long.
GARY R : looking for a good padded camera strap for a Nikon d5300. Any suggestions?JEFF H : Look no further than this strap. we have it on all of our cameras including Canon DSLRsTIMOTHY T : I recommend this strap, but not with experience with a d5300.MIKE M : You found it! Op Tech loop strapCATHERINE S : I purchased this as a gift. It seemed to work well for a padded strap.
JOHN J : How much weight is this strap capable of supporting? I plan on using w/ a gripped 60d, w/ 70-200 f/2.8 and 2x extender.JEFF H : We have both 70d and 60d Canon DSLRS with zoom lenses and have ZERO issues with this strap. it is a godsend in protecting the weight on my neck as we use it over the shoulder. I would have no other.BRUCE D : Shouldn't be a problem. Great strap!JAN C : The whole strap is pretty sturdy, but I personally don't use it with large lenses. The part that would worry me are the side-release buckles. With a couple of grand of photo equipment dangling from your neck, you'll have more peace of mind with a one-piece strap. Not sure if I am expressing this correctly... what I want to say is: the strap is very well built and may very well be able to carry the load of a heavy camera with a big lens for a long time... but I personally would worry all the time if this was the strap keeping my pricey camera from a 5-ft fall, because it is designed so it can be taken apart... I use this strap on a camera installed on a Bushhawk shoulder mount. I can remove the padded part and snap the 2 remaining bits together, which provides with an extra tie between the camera and the Bushhawk, without having 3 feet of strap dangling in the way.JEFFREY W : I use this strap, with extender straps to make a sling, on my D7000, 70-200, and 2X extender. I have walked quite a bit with this configuration and I have never had any problems. I like the neck/shoulder portion for the comfort and elasticity. For the money, this set up works for my needs.MALCOLM G : I use it on my Canon 1D Mark IV with the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II USM. I have also, used it with the 1.4 extender, if it supports that, it will support your camera and lens.JOHN J : Thanks for the help!! I guess I'll give it a try!!R W : Your gear, especially with the 70-200 glass, is fairly heavy. However, the manufacturer claims this strap will accommodate loads of up to 15 lbs., so I *think* it sould work OK for you. It's a comfortable strap, and I like it a lot for that.MICHAEL H : I doubt that you would have any problems. I use it on my 7D with different types of lenses, and never give it a thought. Also it is very comfortable. I have them on all my cameras now.CALEB M : That should be no prob at all.JULIE S : I use it with a 1D mark IV, RRS flash bracket, canon 580 EX II flash, flash diffuser, sync cord and the 70-200MM f2.8L. It more than supports the weight. Just ask my neck or shoulder. :)

Comfort

I bought this strap for the first time 25 years ago, it just broke. So, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this strap. I loved it. By far the most comfortable strap I could find.

Get the extensions if you want a shoulder strap!

This is light weight and seems durable. As packaged it leaves your camera on your chest. If you want a longer shoulder strap you have to buy the extensions. Someone who buys this just before a trip might be disappointed. The seller should make that clear in the description and offer the options for the original purchase.

Great attachment strap

This is a great addition to my Op Tech straps. I am able to swap them between my binos & camera easily. Have been using it awhile & still going strong. No signs of wear.

Dramatically better

I have a D7100 and replaced the Nikon neck strap with a leash type strap from another company. Hated it. Bought this and never looked back. Sooooo much more comfortable. Love it

Op/Tech Camera Strap

Fits on my shoulder and holds snug. Wish it came with longer straps so I didn't need to order extensions. The real test will be next week when I am exploring Yosemite.

Great strap!

Strap works great! Carrying my Canon 60D, 24-105L zoom, and Speedlite doesn't hurt my neck. Used it for an entire basketball game and could barely tell I was carrying lots of photo gear.

It works!

Tested it out on a 5 mile hike with my Nikkor 70-200 load of a lens and it made the weight obviously easier to carry. The quick detach straps make it easy to use on a tripod. The strap is secure and stable, and even attractive. The only complaint I have is that the first order arrived with defective loops. Someone, at the manufacturer or at Adorama should have caught the problem before sending the strap out. Exchange was efficient and cordial.

Very Comfy, Somewhat Small

The Op/Tech Pro Loop Strap is extremely comfortable. It holds the camera well and distributes the weight of a D7000 and an FX 70-300mm lens very well. I prefer to carry my camera and lenses under my arm and around my side. The strap allows for this positioning, but barely, with the adjustment at the maximum distance of travel. It is somewhat easy to swing up to shooting position, but requires more effort to position the camera for a horizontal shot. To give you a size reference, I'm 5'10" and 155#. Larger people: beware if you like to carry your camera at your side. If you like to carry it in front of your body, this is an excellent strap.

Awesome strap!

Had been using a Crumpler. My wife has been using that camera and I didn't want to stick her with the OEM strap so I picked this up. It's extremely comfortable, and less expensive than the Crumpler. I installed the extra long extensions so that I can wear it around my shoulder. I really like the loop attachments. Excellent.

Comfortable and secure

My third one of the same. I prefer the fabric loop as it doesn't mar the metal or the side of the camera. Comfortable on the neck or shoulder, far more so that the stock.

good for Canons like 5D, 7D

The attachment loops are perfect for Canon DSLRs slotted lugs. Will not fray at one point as with a flat tab nor scratch the camera as with a metal ring attachment. Comfortable, non-slip pad and adjustable, quick-release straps. Also the OP/Tech label is less likely to attrract a thief than the bright Canon strap.

A perfect strap at a great price

I looked at a lot of camera straps, and I found this one to the best bang for the buck, and miles better in comfort than the strap included with my dslr.

Great item

Great for use with professional cameras. I lug around a Nikon D4 and a Nikkor 28 - 300 lens which is a heavy combination. This strap is about as good as it gets and it disperses the weight well.

Good Strap

The straps are hard to get through the eyelets, use a small standard screwdriver to help push through. The strap has little bumps on the neck piece and give good traction/stability which I like.

Excellent camera strap

I use the Op-Pro on all my cameras. From Sony NEX7 to Canon 7D & 5Diii. The straps supplied by factories should embarrass them. Op-Tec makes strong, comfortable and really good looking straps

Spreads the weight, but chafes

It's better than the strap that comes with most DSLRs, but it's far from perfect. On the plus side, the yoke distributes weight over more of your neck and shoulders. But if you're wearing a shirt without a collar, the raw edge of the neoprene chafes the neck. I have two of these. The one with the loops on the end is easier to attach than the one with fabric straps that have to be threaded through the eyelet.

Worth the money

Much more comfortable than the straps provided by Nikon or Canon. I had to purchase the longer accessory strap ends because I am tall. I think they could provide ends that are a little more adjustable for those of us that are tall. I tried to use two of these with my camera and heavy super telephoto lens but my neck could not take the weight so I switched to a Black Rapid shoulder strap for the heavier lens' but kept one of the Op/Tech Pro Loop Straps for my other camera that I use for landscapes and portraits.

Great Value

By JIM S.

I've used Op-Tech camera straps since 1986, and have yet to need to replace one. This is one of their best straps, well made and durable. No fancy stuff to fray and wear out prematurely. The connectors are nylon, the attachments are nylon loops. Secure, and no rust. I use this strap with a Nikon F2 with a motor drive and several D200s with the vertical grip. Heavy cameras. While it doesn't make the weight go away after a long day, the strap does evenly distribute the weight so you are not fat...

Awesome!

By Rory

This is one great strap. I use it on my Canon 40D and the weight transfer is excellent - makes it feel much lighter than it is. The other strap I was using made the camera feel heavier and I was constantly adjusting it up around my neck. I like the loop system too ... it's much easier to connect to the camera. I would highly recommend getting one of these straps ... your neck will thank you!!!

The PRO LOOP STRAP combines all the same features of the PRO STRAP with a unique connection system for especially tight connection points. The strap loops through the connection area to form a slip knot which "falls" away freely from the camera when in use. This easy-to-attach connection system is a great alternative to OP/TECH USA's patented connector. A simple and extremely secure system you can trust!
