Improved image quality and AF

The Fujifilm X-T2 received praise for its excellent image quality, but this time around, the engineers at Fujifilm found a way to top that achievement. The X-T3 adopts the X-trans CMOS 4 and X-Processor 4, giving it the highest, fastest quality of the X series. The sensor and processor combined allow for fast lenses in bright shooting conditions, making it a serious improvement over the X-T2. With a low ISO of 160, snapping the perfect bokeh during a sunny day should be breezy. Additionally, the new sensor increases control of moire colors (those annoying waves or ripples of rainbow-like colors).

Another improvement over the Fujifilm X-T2 was is the upgrade in AF capabilities in certain lighting conditions. With 2.16M phase detection pixels and a low-light limit of -3EV, users can quickly and seamless focus in nighttime or any low-light setting. Also, with the processor and burst shooting, capturing sports events and movement has become far easier. Lastly, eye and face tracking and detection make the X-T3 quite useful for portrait photography.

4K video features in a well-designed body

The Fujifilm X-T3 will be the first mirrorless digital camera able to record to an internal SD card in 4K/60P, 4:2:0, 10-bit and also the first to accommodate a 4:2:2 HDMI output. These qualities make the X-T3 a light, convenient option for videographers, especially those on-the-go. The camera is compatible with H.264 and H.254 video formats to keep workflow convenient and easy. The 10-bit color depth translates into 64x more color information than an 8-bit color depth, adding to the recording crispness.

Fujifilm is able to throw all of those features and image quality into an X Series-style body with an old school feel. The well-designed exterior flaunts an improved viewfinder, 3-inch LCD monitor and a battery cover that is dust- and water- resistant.

The Fujifilm X-T3 will soon be available for preorder for  at Adorama.com, and will include an optional kit lens.
