Upgraded lens, autofocus, and image quality:

The most notable improvement to the fifth installment of Fujifilm’s X-series is the new lens. The wide 23mm f/2.0 lens is optimized for close focus, higher resolution, and lower contrast shooting. The maximum aperture gives users a dreamy bokeh effect ideal for portraits, still-life, or other creative shoots. The Fuji X100V continues to be compatible with WCL/TCL conversion lenses if you’d like to expand past the 23mm lens. The WCL-X100 II wide conversion lens extends the 23mm to 28mm, and the TCL-X100 II extends to 50mm. The new lens also keeps the ND filter up to four stops.

The 23mm lens is paired with a 26.1-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and an X-Processor 4. The incredible sensor provides exceptional quality and dynamic range, and uses a unique color filter in place of an optical low pass filter. The X-Processor 4 quickly converts images and video, and enhances AF capabilities in both face and eye detection.

With the new X100V, shooters can switch to video and record in 4K at 30fps or in full HD at 120fps for slow motion and time remapping. Different shooting modes such as “Monochrome Adjustments” and “Color Chrome” give users more creative options when developing their content. The new Fujifilm even offers 10-bit, 4:2:2 color via the HDMI port to connect to film simulations when editing footage.

Classic design and convenient shooting:

The X100V retains a minimalistic, sophisticated design with aluminum top, bottom plates, and satin coating. A genuine leather case is an optional accessory, as well. The body has a 3.69M dot OLED touchscreen that functions as an electronic viewfinder with two-way tilting abilities for easier framing and shooting. If you prefer a classic framing approach, the optical viewfinder has 0.52x magnification. And for the first time, the X100 series is weather resistant when using the optional AR-X100 adapter ring and the PRF-49 protection filter.

The new Fuji X100V digital camera is available in both black and silver for  at Adorama
