If you’ve tried melatonin, hot milk, or other highly-recommended sleep aids, and nothing seems to work or helps you fall and stay asleep throughout the night, it might be time for another strategy. Enter, the Bose Noise-Masking In-Ear Wireless Sleepbuds (), which are specifically created to help block out sleep disturbances and to help you snooze away until morning.

First impressions:

At first glance, the Sleepbuds resemble other cord-less earbuds that you can wear on runs, during your commute, or whenever you need audio entertainment, but these specially-designed headphones are there to make sure no outside factors keep you awake.

If you have a snore-prone bedmate or pet, these little additions to your nightly routine can help work wonders. If you’re a city dweller and find the constant street noise, honking, and sirens wake you from your sleep, these Sleepbuds are designed to make those sounds a non-factor.

Wireless and comfortable, the Sleepbuds have been engineered to stay in your ear all night long. Simply open up the included charging case, remove the buds, use any of the added sized ear tips that’ll help you match your exact ear shape, and place them in your ear.

From there, head to the Bose Sleep app to do the rest.

Once you’ve chosen the size of ear tip that fits your ear and have inserted them, you can immediately begin to program your nightly ambient entertainment.

Setup of the device is intuitive and quick. Simply put in the headphones, and launch the app, which will guide you through the full setup process. Within the app, you can easily customize your individual sleep settings — you can change them based on weekday and weekend programming, or set a different sleep style every night — it’s all up to you. But the best part is the choice of sound that Bose has provided.

Choose between any of the pre-recorded noises:

  • Rustle: calm autumn winds that kick up leaves
  • Cascade: an in-the-distance waterfall
  • Shower: a serene rain hitting the leaves
  • Circulate: a barely-noticeable fan or air conditioner
  • Altitude: ambient airplane cabin noise
  • Swell: beachside rolling waves
  • Campfire: a nighttime crackling fire
  • Warm static: brown noise from electronics
  • Downstream: a bubbling stream
  • Tranquility: restful spa sounds for maximum relaxation

Set an alarm for when you’d like to be woken up, and — here’s the best part — you’ll be awoken without any bedmate hearing the blaring noises.

When you’re up in the morning, pop the Sleepbuds back into their carrying case (they’re magnetic, so you’ll know when they’re locked back into a charging position), and they’ll be ready for their next use.

The Sleepbuds are available now for  at Adorama, and are ready to make your nightly routine all the more peaceful.
