At the company’s 2018 Surface event this week, Microsoft announced a host of new products to their lineup, including the brand new Surface Studio 2, Pro 6, and Laptop 2, all with the mission to help users achieve maximum productivity.

Microsoft Surface Studio 2:
Enabling you to turn your workspace into the “ultimate creative studio,” as Microsoft says, the Surface Studio 2 features a 28-inch display (the same size as the original Surface Studio), with 50 percent improved graphics performance, making it the fastest Surface to date. The upgraded 28-inch display features 13.5 million pixels, 4500 x 3000 (192 PPI) resolution, a 3:2 aspect ratio, 10 point multi-touch, and is ultimately 38 percent brighter and a 22 percent improvement in contrast. The update also includes an upgraded GPU, from GTX 965 or 980M to GTX 1060 or 1070 (which contributes to the graphics performance boost), and s 2TB SSD for storage. As with the original, the Surface Studio 2 includes built-in Xbox Wireless support, will be compatible with the Surface Dial, and now includes a USB-C port.

Microsoft Surface Pro 6:
The latest two-in-one laptop, the Surface Pro 6, includes Intel 8th Gen Quad Core i5 or i7 processors, and Microsoft notes it is 67 percent faster than its predecessor, and boasts a 13.5-hour battery life. The unit can transition from laptop to tablet to studio mode, is now available in a matte black finish. The 12.3″ PixelSense 10 point multi-touch display holds a resolution of 2736 x 1824 pixels and a 3:2 aspect ratio. The unit includes a 5.0MP front-facing camera, and the 8.0MP rear camera has autofocus capabilities and 1080p video recording.

Microsoft Surface Laptop 2:
The new Microsoft Surface Laptop 2 has an 85 percent-improved performance, Microsoft notes, and now features the Intel 8th Gen Quad Core i5 or i7 Processor, has 14.5 hours of battery life, and a Alcantara material-covered keyboard that is both faster and quieter. The Laptop 2 has a 13.5-inch touchscreen display includes edge-to-edge display and 2256 x 1504 resolution, with 201 pixels per inch. The unit is available in Platinum, Burgundy (above), Cobalt Blue, and Black colorways, and can hold up to 16GB of memory. The laptop includes a 730p HD front-facing camera and Omnnisonic speakers.
