Fender has done it again, impressing us in 2021 with a new series called the Fender Ultra Luxe Guitars. Taking cues from the Fender Ultra series, and as always, listening to the consumers, the company launched the new Luxe series, a 2.0 version with durable stainless steel frets (all the rage), painted headstock, an augmented “D” neck, and custom double-tap coiled humbuckers with split functions.
For those of us who like to play both rhythm and lead guitar, often alternately in the same song, the double-tap switch is a must-have. On one side there are the fat and loud humbuckers, great for rich rhythmic chords and heavy-handed players. Then boom! Flip a switch and you have a snappy and jangly tone for that classic Fender lead guitar sound. The double-tap system changes the tone, but the sound quality remains firm and full-on in either setting.
Fender American Ultra Luxe Stratocaster Electric Guitar
Guitarists with strum-heavy songs or loads of playing experience know the excitement surrounding the stainless steel frets, new to the Fender Ultra Luxe series of guitars. The 22 medium-jumbo stainless steel frets are highly durable, often lasting longer than nickel, and will take a long time to wear down, thus no need to worry about re-fretting your guitar any time soon.
