Clear, bright video recording
The Lorex 2K doorbell records in quad high definition (QHD) and offers a 4:3 aspect ratio—a resolution of 2560×1920 pixels that’s better than full HD, but not quite 4K UHD. (QHD resolution is usually 2560×1440 in 16:9 ratio, but the Lorex doorbell opted for a 4:3 ratio to add height.) This high resolution delivers optimal sharpness while monitoring the security of your home.
On top of 2K resolution, the Lorex doorbell has high-dynamic-range imaging, which gives incredible detail in areas that are too dark or too bright. When the sun goes down, the Lorex 2K uses high-powered infrared LEDs for night vision. To establish a strong point-of-view, the doorbell has a 164-degree field-of-view and up to 8x zoom.
Top-of-the-line security features
The Lorex 2K doorbell is packed with security measures to keep your home safe. The Person Detection feature senses activity around your doorstep and will instantly send notifications of suspicious activity to your mobile device via the Lorex Home App. This app gives users access to live video, playback motion recordings, and the ability to change settings.
The Lorex 2K also lets users reply to visitors with three different messages after they ring the doorbell. If the pre-recorded messages don’t apply, users can record their own custom message for visitors. With two-way talk, homeowners are able to speak and listen to visitors using the built-in speaker and microphone on the doorbell.
For extra nighttime security and visibility, users can program their Lorex 2K to turn on a nightlight at a designated time each day. The night light will illuminate their doorstep, and the doorbell will even emit a siren if it detects motion after hours—a great feature to deter unwanted guests when you’re out of the house or on vacation.
Easy-to-use hardware
Lastly, the Lorex 2K doorbell has a microSD card to hold all of your video recordings. The doorbell can store up to 256GB of video—which is more than enough footage. This security doorbell can also be linked to other wireless Lorex security products such as cameras and lights. The only thing you need to get started is an existing doorbell and chime with electrical wiring. And as a bonus, the Lorex 2K doorbell doesn’t require any monthly fees for hosting footage.
The Lorex 2K doorbell is available for from Adorama.
