Ultra-wide, wide, and telephoto lens options

The new Sony Xperia Pro gives users creative flexibility with three different focal lengths: 16mm, 24mm, and 70mm. The combination of ultra-wide, wide, and telephoto lenses is optimal for everything from artistic architecture photography to professional product shots. On top of multiple lenses, creators have full control over the ISO, shutter speed, and aperture to properly capture images.

The Xperia’s autofocus capabilities are top-notch with real-time Eye AF for both humans and animals, and the smartphone’s Dual Photo Diode sensor ensures precise focusing in any lighting condition. The Xperia calculates autofocus and exposure up to 60 times per second, and can continuously shoot at 20 frames per second, so action and sports photography is no issue.

The Xperia’s video recording functionality is just as impressive as its photography features. Users can record in 4K HDR at 24 frames per second in a 21:9 aspect ratio. Essential settings like exposure, shutter angle, and white balance are all adjustable. The Xperia is stocked with eight color presets to drop onto footage for a cinematic, stylized look. Sony’s smartphone comes with two forward-facing stereo speakers for dynamic sound and also supports 360 Reality Audio.

HDMI compatibility and 5G technology

The new Sony Xperia Pro is the world’s first smartphone to have HDMI connectivity. With an HDMI connection, creators are free to use the Xperia’s 6.5” 4K OLED display as an external monitor. Color is sharply and accurately represented on the Xperia with a 10-bit equivalent display and 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

Once users download the External Monitor app and connect to their camera, they can even adjust brightness, view grid lines, and use the pinch to zoom function. Also using the HDMI connection, creators can livestream their feed to YouTube, Streamyard, and Streamlabs. If you happen to use any camera from the Sony Alpha series, the Sony Xperia can instantly edit and upload your camera’s content to social media using the Imaging Edge Mobile App.

Lastly, the Sony Xperia has a 360-degree antenna design to efficiently transfer data using 5G mmWave. Creators can reliably upload hefty photos and videos, as well as confidently livestream their content without worrying about a dropped connection.
