Very strong and sturdy
This is not a light weight stand. This is a heavy yet still light enough to lift and move, but I would not want to travel with it myself. However, you could. I have 2 of these and am using them for my backdrop stand and they are supporting a 1 1/4" of conduit which weighs about 12 lbs after the welding was done to it so it would fit on the stands. These stands hold it with no problems at all. Worth every penny of the price!

I bought 2 of these to use as my background stand. I have only had the cheaper ones and these are awesome! I needed some thing durable that could hold a good amount of weight at different heights and this will do it. If you are looking for a light weight stand this is not it. You can travel with these, but I will not. I will set this up in my studio and leave it in place. I have cheaper lighter weighing stands that I can use when traveling.
