I am 68 years old and have trouble holding binoculars steady. At the touch of a button these are nearly perfect. And this new model has a nice feel, For image stabilization you just tap a button to turn on and tap again to turn off. There is a small green light by the on / off button to remind you IS is on. The only downside is the case (soft case and no strap for the case).

I bought these for my wife for her birthday. These binoculars are terrific! The image stabilization technology works wonderfully. Regular binoculars allow a quick look, but with these, we can linger, search and more greatly appreciate the field of view; birdwatching is a pleasure. One small thing that Canon needs to address: the plastic lens caps will fall off easily. So far we have been very lucky to find them on the ground or on the floor of the car. They will fall off if you shake the binoculars, and I cannot seem to improvise a fix using tapes etc.

For enthusiasts seeking a closer connection with their subjects, the Canon 10x20 IS Series Weather Resistant Porro Prism IS Binoculars offer a superior viewing experience. These binoculars are designed to bridge the distance between you and your subject, whether it's a songbird in the wild or a performer on stage.
Featuring a high magnification ratio of 10x and advanced Image Stabilization (IS) technology, these binoculars minimize shaking and blur, delivering clear, steady images. The Super Spectra coating further enhances image quality by reducing ghosting and flaring, providing sharper, high-contrast visuals.
The Canon 10x20 IS binoculars are designed with user comfort in mind. The natural, fitted grip, comfortable finger rests, and refined controls make these binoculars easy to handle for extended periods. Their lightweight, compact size makes them convenient to carry and pack, ensuring they're always ready for your next adventure.
The binoculars' high-efficiency Lens Shift Image Stabilization system effectively cancels out shaking caused by movement and vibration. This system, borrowed from Canon's EF lenses, uses a continually adjusting vibration gyro mechanism to move the IS lens both vertically and horizontally, delivering consistently pleasing images.
The binoculars also feature Powered IS technology, derived from Canon's high-quality video and digital camera technology. This technology, activated with a single press of the IS button, provides up to five minutes of continuous operation, making it easy to maintain a high-magnification view in situations where body movement or strong shake might occur.
The 10x20 IS binoculars also incorporate a field flattener lens element, ensuring edge-to-edge sharpness for vivid images. This lens counters the blurred effect typically caused by the curvature of conventional lens elements, delivering a sharp, low-distortion image across the entire field of view.
With a minimum focusing distance of 6.6' (2m), these binoculars are perfect for viewing animals, flowers, and other small objects from a short distance. Combined with the 10x magnification ratio, you'll be able to see even the smallest details with ease.
The ergonomic design and comfortable grip of the 10x20 IS binoculars make them easy and comfortable to hold. The miniaturization of the IS unit provides an ergonomic and sturdy grip, allowing intuitive access to the IS switch, focusing ring diopter, and more.
In summary, the Canon 10x20 IS Series Weather Resistant Porro Prism IS Binoculars offer a superior viewing experience, combining high magnification, advanced image stabilization, and user-friendly design to bring your subjects closer than ever before.
