I've always been a fan of DJI gimbals. I've had the SC2 and the RS3 Mini, but neither compare to this RS4 Pro. I needed something larger for my FX6 and this is perfect. Handles that and my A7 cameras no problem. It's extremely easy to balance with the micro adjustments and the auto-locking feature is a welcome addition. If you're thinking about a gimbal I say go for this one.

It's been a few years since I last upgraded my gimbal, and the RS4 exceeded my expectations. It's lightweight, user-friendly, and the upgraded technology significantly enhances its performance, delivering the smoothness and control I was looking for.

It has taken me a day or two to really test this DJI RS 4 Pro, and I am really happy with it thus far. My experience with DJI Gimbals is extensive. I began by using a Ronin M. I adored the gimbal, but I detest the batteries and the nightmares they cause. The Ronin S, which has the same form factor as this gimbal, is what I later bought. Although I like the Ronin S, there were a few usability flaws that I didn't love. The RS 4 Pro is now out, and I have to admit that it has been significantly improved in every manner. Axis locks are DYNAMITE in nature. Compared to the earlier generations, this one is quite lightweight. There is an excellent feature set. I apologize for not

This gimbal is user-friendly and sturdy. It now folds flat for convenient transport, and I enjoy that the Teflon covering assists with quick balancing.

I love this gimbal. I could fit with no problem my Canon c70 on it, with a 70-200mm.
The DJI RS 4 is a stabilizer and a game-changer for creators eager to dominate the digital scene. From native vertical shooting to its battery grip that more than doubles runtime, this lightweight commercial stabilizer is the ultimate toolkit for telling compelling visual stories. Whether it's for social media or professional projects, the RS 4 empowers cinematographers to capture the world with ease and style.
Step right up to the future of vertical video, where the DJI RS 4 turns the table — or perhaps, the camera — on traditional landscape shots. This isn't just any vertical shooting, it's a next-gen approach that's been finely tuned for the social media maestro in all of us.
Dive into the magic of the DJI RS 4's joystick, a clever tool that's all about giving you the reins to seamlessly toggle between zooming in on your subject and swinging your gimbal around for that perfect shot. Imagine having a wand in your hand that lets you orchestrate your camera's dance with a flick or a twist — no pausing for tedious menu dives or button mashing. This feature is like having an extra set of hands, freeing you to focus on the art of capturing life's moments with precision and flair.
Automated axis locks allow RS4 to start working quickly or enter sleep mode for efficient shooting, transitions, and storage. In addition, the axis locks have smaller gaps when locked, further reducing gimbal shake.
The use of Teflon coating on the axis arms suggests a focus on reducing friction, which can lead to smoother balancing and movement. This feature is crucial for achieving professional-looking shots that require smooth transitions and movements.
The OLED touchscreen incorporates a new auto-lock feature. Once locked, the screen will display the current gimbal and joystick modes at a low brightness. This not only prevents accidental touches but also helps to conserve battery power.
This high payload capacity means that the DJI RS 4 can support a wide range of cameras and lenses. This versatility is essential for cinematographers who need to use different cameras and lenses depending on the project requirements.
DJI has comprehensively optimized the next-generation RS stabilization algorithm for different usage scenarios. It strikes a superior balance between stabilization strength and the tactile feel of camera movement, delivering both excellent stabilization performance and an enhanced user experience. Additionally, RS 4 offers significantly improved stability when vertical shooting, easily steadying dynamic shots like running or low-angle perspectives.
DJI RS 4 supports the professional-grade features of DJI PRO products, delivering superior performance that makes solo creation more efficient.
When paired with the new DJI Focus Pro Motor, DJI RS 4 allows you to control the lens focus via dial or adjust the lens zoom via joystick. This smooth operation enables efficient lens control.
JI RS 4 can remotely control camera shutter and lens zoom with Dual-Mode Bluetooth technology. In zoom control mode, you can use the joystick to control Power Zoom for PZ lenses and Clear Image Zoom, obtaining a native zoom experience. A camera only needs to be paired once, after which it can reconnect seamlessly and automatically.
The trigger function can be customized to FPV mode, where pressing and holding the trigger makes the gimbal's three axes follow the direction of the grip's movement. This is particularly useful for shooting rotational footage or simulating POV.
The inclusion of an RSA communication port gives the stabilizer the ability integrate with a wide range of accessories and control options, expanding its usability and flexibility. This could be especially useful for users who require external monitors, follow focus systems, or other accessories for their shoots.
The availability of a high-capacity battery grip (sold separately) that extends battery life by approximately 2.5 times is a significant advantage for long shooting days. This feature ensures that cinematographers can focus more on their creative process without being constantly worried about battery life.
Both independent cinematographers and small crews can utilize the Ronin Image Transmitter for high-definition live feeds, remote gimbal and camera control, ActiveTrack 4.0, Force Mobile, and more, achieving an integrated shooting experience with monitoring and control capabilities.
Take your videography to the next level with the DJI RS 4 Gimbal Stabilizer, a lightweight commercial-grade tool designed to enhance your creative experience. This advanced stabilizer supports next-generation native vertical shooting, offering improved stabilization performance and an upgraded accessory ecosystem, empowering solo cinematographers to tell compelling visual narratives with greater efficiency.
The DJI RS 4 features a newly designed horizontal plate, enabling the second generation of native vertical shooting for faster, simpler operation. This feature allows for an easy switch to vertical shooting without the need for additional accessories, paving the way for efficient vertical video creation.
Experience our smoothest balancing yet with a Teflon coating on all three axes, reducing friction and facilitating smoother balancing. The fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis allows for precise, millimeter-level balancing when switching cameras or lenses. The upper quick-release plate also includes an adjustable placement guide to ensure secure camera mounting.
The OLED touchscreen incorporates a new auto-lock feature, displaying the current gimbal and joystick modes at a low brightness to prevent accidental touches and conserve battery power. The lightweight body of the DJI RS 4 boasts a 3kg (6.6lbs) payload capacity, capable of carrying mainstream mirrorless camera and lens combinations, providing comfortable holding with robust power.
The 4th-Gen RS Stabilization Algorithm has been comprehensively optimized for different usage scenarios, striking a superior balance between stabilization strength and the tactile feel of camera movement. This delivers excellent stabilization performance and an enhanced user experience, with significantly improved stability when vertical shooting.
The DJI RS 4 supports professional-grade features of DJI PRO products, delivering superior performance that makes solo creation more efficient. With Dual-Mode Bluetooth technology, the DJI RS 4 can remotely control camera shutter and lens zoom, providing a native zoom experience.
When paired with the new DJI Focus Pro Motor, the DJI RS 4 allows for smooth lens control, enabling efficient lens focus adjustment via dial or lens zoom via joystick. The trigger function can be customized to FPV mode, where pressing and holding the trigger makes the gimbal's three axes follow the direction of the grip's movement. This is particularly useful for shooting rotational footage or simulating POV.
The DJI RS 4 introduces an RSA communication port, which allows for the connection of accessories such as the DJI RS Tethered Control Handle and third-party accessories like control handles and remote-control ring handles. This flexibility allows you to switch between different shooting setups according to your creative needs.
The new BG70 High-Capacity Battery Grip can extend the DJI RS 4's battery runtime to 29.5 hours, and also supports powering your camera and accessories with up to 18 W via the USB-C port at the bottom.
