The guitar's body is crafted from durable basswood and features a striking big-leaf maple top, complemented by a five-ply binding for added resilience. The bolt-on quartersawn maple neck, sculpted to Eddie's exact specifications, is reinforced with graphite and finished with a hand-rubbed back for smooth, fast playability.
The ebony fingerboard, with a compound radius of 12"-16", is fitted with 22 vintage stainless steel frets. Depending on the finish you choose, Ivory or Stealth, the fingerboard features either pearloid or dot inlays. A heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel is conveniently placed for easy access.
The guitar's sound is powered by a custom-wound alnico 2 EVH Wolfgang Humbucker in the bridge and a newly added alnico 3 custom-wound EVH Wolfgang Humbucker in the neck. These are controlled by a unique reverse-oriented three-way toggle switch, delivering a scorching and well-balanced tone that's perfect for any genre.
The red-button kill switch lets you recreate the iconic "You Really Got Me" stutter-stop, while the EVH High Friction (Tone) Pot and custom-made Low Friction (Volume) Pot ensure smooth play without any crackle or pop. The EVH-branded Floyd Rose locking tremolo offers endless sustain and precise tuning, no matter how hard you rock out.
The EVH D-Tuna allows for quick and accurate retuning to drop-D and back, while the low-friction volume control and high-friction tone control prevent accidental shifts during your performance. The guitar is available in classic Ivory or Stealth finishes, with chrome hardware, black speed knobs, and dog leash strap/eye-bolt clasps for a refined look. It comes with a hardshell EVH Striped SKB case and an EVH leather strap for added convenience and protection.
