These bare bulb strobes are easy travel companions with a wonderful light output. For me, they perform just like studio syrobes, except less powerful. I use them for shooting through Glow 60-inch white parabolic at about one quarter power. The results are great...even fill flash when set at 45 degree angles to subject (Ibuse two). Almost no shadowing on the face and rich, vibrant colors on clothing. I receive many compliments! If you are using abprper portrait lens with this, you are getting a pro result. Shhh! Keep the secret and don't tell anyone!

I have a small space, so 180ws is plenty of power for me. I'm very happy with them. I've used in a wescott 28" softbox and a few umbrellas. Easy to setup and the bundled remote system works fine w/ my Nikon d750 (not doing HSS with them). I went with two of these and a 360 for key light so everything has the same battery and accessories. I bought one creative kit, then the others with only the umbrella holder. As for the umbrella holder, they have a special dish with a hole for umbrella and a side-mount clamp. it works well for regular umbrellas, but with the wescott softbox where the light mounts inside and bounces, it is cumbersome and difficult to get much of an angle on the light. I think using a rear-mount softbox would be better with them. The battery life seems very good to me, but I'm not doing professional event gigs with them.

I've had this light for almost a year now and I've never missed a shot with it. I also haven't been able to run out of power on just one battery (although I have a backup just in case.) I'm looking forward to adding additional lights to my location shoots now because these are just easy to take everywhere.

I've used this on several shoots, both indoor and out, and it's worked flawlessly every time. I was a relatively early adopter, and the prices have come down a bit since I purchased it, but I don't feel slighted in the least. Looking forward to adding more to my kit.

YOU NEED TO TRY THIS OUT TO BELIEVE IT !! After reading about this unit on shutterbug magazine i decided to try it over Nikon OR Canon Flash. Youre getting so much more of so much less. Efraim as always thanks for your help!

I purchased this flash to use when shooting weddings ans portraits outside in the bright sun. Much more powerfull than my speedlight and way more portable than a monolight. Very easy to use. Would be nice if TTL available but able to work around.
