All in one solution

Overall a great deal on a beginner-intermediate studio photographer kit. Everything came on time though in separate packages that got pretty beat up in transit... but the contents were well wrapped and worked out of the box. AD 300 pros are plenty strong enough for what Im using them for, which is indoor studio work portraits for my co-workers. The S mount's tiny hand nut will not tighten down enough  hold the weight of the light and strip/octobox so be prepared to to have an assistant hold them from spinning under their own weight.

Not bad, could be better in a couple small ways

just used this light and softbox for an outdoor shoot.  provided plenty of light with all the right options, high speed sync, power level adjustments, etc.  Its size is awesome, portability is awesome, weight is awesome, light output is awesome (both at the high power end, and low power end)--for an on-the-go setup this is by far the easiest to use, and the quality of light is perfect.

So far this product has been amazing set up is easy and is pretty easy to learn and it has taken my photography to the next level!

Amazing photography upgrade

Wanted to love these flashes, unfortunately one of them arrived with a dead battery out of the bow that wouldn't charge. Assumed this would be simple to resolve (Within warranty, and a VIP Pro member), but on contacting adorama, they said they couldn't help and i had to go through their "brands" department. Had some back and forth emails where they told me diffferent things to try and finally had me mail the battery in (on my dime which probably cost more than the battery). Its been several weeks and I cant get any response from this "brands" group and neither can Adorama when I call. Completely frustrating and meanwhile I've been 4 months with a flash that wont work. Save yourself this trouble, look elsewhere.

Adorama let me down on this one

I have purchased 2 of these and I love using them.  Small enough to be portable and big enough power to get me through most photo shoots.  No issues with battery life.

I should have purchased the XPLOR300 sooner than I did. I am completely satisfied eith the results and ease of storage and transport.

This is an amazing flash unit for all around use but especially for field use. It's compact size and light weight makes it ideal for outdoor portrait shoots even on sunny days. I haven't fully tested high speed sync or color correctness but happy with the results so far.

The BIGGEST issue so far is the poorly designed adapter's locking mechanism... As shown in the image. The 2 levers gets in each other's way when trying to adjust the angle or lock the flash unit in place.

Love this light for it's size and power!!

I bought 4 of these they are unbelievable flashes. All 4 pack in a nice tidy backpack with everything needed for them. I use them for real estate mixed with flashpoint speed lights. Also use them for agent head shots.

The perfect flash

These have become my workhorse lights in and out of the studio. I had a set of Streaklight 360s I had beat almost to death (one did recently flash its last flash). I love having the internal battery and the modeling light when needed. I did also purchase a second set of batteries for my all-day sessions when I have only occasionally fully depleted the first set of batteries. I've put these through thousands of flashes and never a misfire.

Perfect balance of portability and power

They?re great! There?s a bit of a learning curve but they?re simple to put together, turn on, and shoot with. I?m having some trouble with making the flash work. I?m use to a Profoto D2 with flash triggers and the slav flash when I?m using older gear or external flash assemblies. These lights don?t seem to do the same thing. All in all, they?re great!

Much needed light

I'm using this in my studio. Color rendition is excellent, less than 20 degree swing between low power and high power. Battery life is impressive. I can do a two hour shoot, approx 600 pics and the battery meter doesn't even go down a notch, though I do usually shoot between low power and 1/4. Hook two of them up to an R2 trigger (not included) and you can effortlessly control aperture changes, switch on the modeling lamps, etc. There's nothing not to like about these flashes.

Amazing!

I love these flashes.  Small enough to fit these 2 in my camera bag and bright enough to use in the sun.  Modifiers in this kit are usable as well.   Picture of the kit shows a silicon bumper - it is not included.   I did buy 2 silicon numbers which fit well and look like they will offer some protection if the flashes fall.   I also use these with the long throw reflectors which work great and add more light so I can back off the flash power a little.  Have not used the bag yet but it feels sturdy and I?m sure I will find a use for it.

Good power in a small package.

I love these. At first I purchased one to compliment my evolv 200 pair, and it came with a free octa-box. It's a fantastic light and I love the direct mount accessories. Because of a new deal I purchased 2 more (3 total now) and I have an absolutely fantastic setup for indoors and outdoors. 

I only took a star off because the main image includes a blue silicone bumper to protect these. Mine did not come with these bumpers, and I suppose they are not in the breakdown of items when I looked back at my order. I feel it's a little misleading to add that bumper image into the image of everything else you get in the kit, because literally everything else is apart of it and it's the main image for the kit. I'll have to order some later because the round shape does make these lights a little more slick than say a 200/200pro (which I have the bumpers for also anyway). 

TL:DR great product, outstanding light, just double check you're getting what you think you're getting.

Fantastic compact lights

Fantastic !!!!  love it when I don't use my profoto!  It is the perfect price to not have to worry about something happening to it!

Perfect for on location. easy to move about, easy to carry along, just easy. I have had for a few months and can't imagine needing anything more than this for anything. I do have other modifiers that I use with these lights... but I could live without them if I needed to. Super convenient.
