Feels cheap and didn't fit my AD200 flash body without having to forcefully press it through the opening.  I would opt for the $35 version as it is significantly better in build quality and is a cheap investment for expensive lights.

Would skip this one in favor of the version that is $25 and made of metal.

Easy to use

Ok quality. Not the best. Will work with speedlight but heavier lights not so much.

Solid unit. Came intact. No complaints at all. I recommend.

WORKS AS IT SHOULD.

This item works as it should, allowing me to use bowens Mount soft boxes with my speedlight, either handheld or on a light stand. However it can struggle at keeping itself at the right angle, with the weight of a large soft box pulling it down further if it's set at a low angle. A way to more securely lock in an angle would be a good revision for a future model.

Very useful but can droop

It holds my Nikon SB800 well and also I could mount Glow 36 inch softbox. Meets my need for my studio setup.

Good handheld mount for small softboxes.

It works decent but feels a little cheap. The thumbscrew for the umbrella holder is really tiny and hard to grip.

This is truly a no-brainer if you've got the Explor200 or similar sized lighting units. Light goes in the back and clamps down, Bowens modifier goes in the front. Bang bang.

Speedlight in a softbox

I love this mount when using it on a Bowens modifier. It holds the flash solidly and is very sturdy. However, if you are going to use an umbrella don't buy this. The screw is not  solid enough to tighten up. The threads are very fine and when you begin to tighten them they strip out of the plastic that surrounds the screw. I am going to have to get a coarse bolt and thread it in the hole to make it useful at all. So 5 stars for a Bowens mount user and 2 for an umbrella user. Averages to 3 stars.

Not for umbrella users!

Just perfect!!! I bought this bracket for my AD200 and fits perfect, very well designed and robust, full recommended.

Just perfect!!!

This little bracket makes it super easy! Not just adapting a Bowens mount to a speedlight or Flashpoint/godox strobe, but also to mount the whole caboodle and easily switch modifiers back and forth. I'm grateful for the price point, since it's a necessity interpreter.

Required, but also a bit nice

This Works well.  I received this in a package deal with the ad200 pro.  For it's purpose I probably deserves 5 stars. However it is an older model.  The newer version is adaptable to the 300, the roundhead v1 and the ad400 pro.  So if you are purchasing as a stand alone product it's probably worth paying a little more for versatility of the newer model.

Still great for eVOLV 200s

I use this S-bracket to mount both my Godox v860 speed lights and Flashpoint AD200s on nightstands with a variety of umbrellas and Bowens mount soft boxes. It works extremely well with both as does the S-2 bracket which I also own, BUT the umbrella mount on the S-bracket with its actual tension screw is FAR superior to the fragile metal tension spring on the S-2. So I STRONGLY recommend purchasing this over the S-2 (and it costs less too!)

S-Bracket Superior to Newer S-2

Nicely made! Well thought out design!

It holds up to an AD200 just fine but if you plan on using an umbrella with these you should find a different S bracket. The hole for the screw that secures the umbrella strips out SUPER easy. I have knock off S brackets that I've had for years that are fine. It's main function still works great though.

Hole for screw strips out easy but the main funtion of holding your light works well.

Product is stronger than the plastic one I am replacing it with, the loud clicking. While repositioning it is not there.  Works very smoothly.  This one is used on an overhead boom for tabletop work.

Solid product

What can I say, it does it?s job pretty well. The locking washer is a bit stiff so you can sand that down to make it turn easier. But other than that, it does what it?s supposed to do without issue.

Holds Godox flashes

Use this with my Evolv200 Flash and it work Great. Would liked to have the pistol grip handle but it work just as good..

This bracket is well designed and the construction is excellent. As good as most manufacturers of support gear. It's an easy choice at this price point.

So far so good.  It is built well, and its size and ability to combine with a speedlight make it useful in many situations.
