While embarking on your photographic adventures, the NiSi Explorer Collection 100x150mm Nano IR Soft Graduated Neutral Density Filter - GND8 (0.9) - 3 Stop is an essential tool for capturing stunning images. This filter, part of our Explorer Series, is designed with the adventurous photographer in mind. It boasts a unique glass hardening process that doubles its strength compared to standard glass filters, making it less susceptible to accidental breakage.This rectangular filter is expertly crafted to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while maintaining a normal, unaffected exposure in other regions. It transitions smoothly from dense at the edge to clear in the middle, making it ideal for images featuring elements like trees, buildings, or mountains that extend into the skyline.The NiSi GND filters are designed to preserve the true colors of your image. They are constructed from high-quality B270 optical glass, not resin, and feature a nano coating to prevent loss of detail. Additionally, these filters have an infrared protection coating layer to eliminate infrared light that can cast an unwanted red hue on your photos when shooting at a small aperture.The NiSi Explorer Collection filters are not only toughened but also feature the same Nano coating process as our optical glass filters. While they are designed to withstand accidental damage, they are not unbreakable, and their hardening may decline over time.Compatible with 100mm filter holder systems, the NiSi 100mm filter system is suitable for cameras with lenses that have a standard filter thread from 49 mm to 95mm. While B270 glass filters are stronger than optical quality glass and can survive drops from approximately 1m onto concrete, they are not shatterproof. The toughening process for this glass degrades over time, and while the strength may degrade, the image quality remains very good for most photographic applications.For those demanding the highest possible image quality, sharpness, and detail, we recommend our Optical glass filters. NiSi Graduated Filter

I'm using this with the Nisi holder system for the Sigma 14-24 on Sony A7RV and A7IV bodies. So far, I'm happy with the whole system.Optically, the grad gray is quite good, it's neutral in color, and the 3 stop gnd8 is right on for most of the landscape work I do.

A very good filter

First time using a graduated filter and like the results.  Makes a difference using quality products.

Practice, Practice, Practice

PROVIDES VERY SMOOTH GRADUATION FROM CLEAR TO DARK THAT WORKS REALLY WELL TO ENHANCE CLOUDS AND SKY. i WOULD RECOMEND THIS PRODUCT FOR LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHERS.

Awesome!

I am super excited with the NiSi filters.  I have used Lee filters for years, but really wanted better resolution and I definitely get that with these filters.  I shoot primarily with a Fuji GFX 50s and so far the results with these filters are worth the price.  They are not cheap, but the quality is definitely noticeable.  Attached is the first image I took using the 10 stop ND.  It performed amazing with giving me a little motion in the clouds.  Can't wait to use these filters more!
