It works

This is my second scanner that I have gotten from HP and this works just as well as the first one I got. The first one lasted 7 years and I am hoping this does just as well.

Great features

We bought this scaner a few weeks ago to replace the identical one which we purchased many years ago. Feature which we particularily like is the flat bed scanner and also the sheet loader scanner.

Exactly what I was looking for!

I've been in the market for a new scanner for almost two years now, and finally found this one! It is perfect for my needs, and very fast. The software is super easy to use. Best bang for my buck too!

Worked great.. for 2 years

The 3500 f1 WAS a great scanner. It was fast and took great scans, until it reached its 2nd birthday. It is now totally useless. The feeder no longer works (error stating a jam that does not exist) and when using the flatbed, a thick black line exists. After contacting customer support, I am informed that due to Covid, it cannot be repaired. I would even repair it myself if I could get the part (CIS), but repairing is not an option. I have been given the "option" of receiving a new product at (get this) at 4% off retail! I have been a loyal supporter of HP products for decades when I bought my 1st LaserJet 4 in the 90s. But to spend this amount of $ on a product that 1: barely lasts two years, and 2: cannot be repaired is fiscally and environmentally irresponsible.

Black streak on every. single. scanner.

Over the last 3 years we have purchased 7-8 3500 model scanners. Every single one of them developed a wide black streak after about 1.5-2 years of use. Including scanners purchased to replace scanners that developed the problem. The 2500 series didn't have this issue, so we'll be switching back to that model. I do NOT recommend the 3500 model series. (And no, cleaning the glass did not resolve the issue, nor should every single scanner develop that issue.)

Scanner broke the first day

Used the scanner for one hour. about 500 pages. Feeder stopped pulling in paper. I helped it with about 30 pages before I gave up. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCANNER unless you only have 400 pages to scan

Not Super Pleased

Product is quirky. It has disconnects for no solid reason a great deal. Costs a lot of time. I thought I was investing in a very solid scanner. Problematic.

It is great!

I had had my HP 5500 scanner for about 12 years and it finally was working too slow and not communicating well with my computer, so I decided to buy a new one. I found this 3500 f1 flatbed and it was just what I was looking for. It is very fast and works great with Windows 10. I am very pleased with this scanner. I use it a lot in my at home office for teaching online courses. I do miss the print from scanner feature that my 5500 had though.
