Some kits are simple and budget-friendly but effective, such as the Samsung 6” Expedition Rechargeable Battery Powered Wireless Portable PA with Bluetooth. This compact powerhouse has a 4-channel mixer, battery powered mic, and wireless USB so you can perform anywhere.

Other kits come with full features and big sound, like the Anchor Audio Bigfoot Line Array Quad Wireless Basic Package. This particular kit’s chassis houses five woofers, four microphones, a CD/mp3 combo player, and a USB port for charging mobile devices.

Individual gear

If a kit isn’t the right fit for you, you can always build your PA system one piece at a time. This helps if you already have some equipment available, or if you want to make sure you get all the features you’ll want.

In building your own PA system, you’ll need a mic, an amplifier, and a speaker or speakers. Some systems will include a mixer or processor, mic stands, and speaker stands to manage the vibrations and reduce early reflections.
