The R400a is fully compatible with all Lectrosonics 400 Series Digital Hybrid Wireless transmitters, 200 Series, 100 Series analog transmitters, and IFB transmitters. It can also work with select analog transmitters from other manufacturers.
SmartTune technology is designed to automatically scan all available frequencies in the receiver's frequency block and tune the receiver to the frequency with the lowest RF interference. This significantly reduces setup time, especially in RF-saturated environments.
SmartDiversity is a microprocessor-controlled antenna phase combining technology. It effectively deals with multi-path dropouts by analyzing both the incoming RF level and the RF level's rate of change to determine the optimum timing for phase switching and the optimum antenna phase.
The Smart Noise Reduction algorithm is designed to increase the effective dynamic range of the system. It removes hiss from the audio signal without sacrificing high-frequency response, ensuring clear and crisp audio.
The R400a receiver offers both Balanced (XLR) audio output and Unbalanced (1/4-inch jack) Line Out and Monitor output. Both outputs operate independently and are each controlled by their own digital attenuator.

Why settle for less when you can have the advanced R400a Digital Hybrid Wireless Diversity Receiver This high-tech device is fully compatible with all Lectrosonics 400 Series Digital Hybrid Wireless transmitters, 200 Series, 100 Series analog transmitters, and IFB transmitters, as well as select analog transmitters from other manufacturers.
The R400a is a sophisticated piece of technology that boasts 256 user-selectable frequencies. Its innovative audio processing includes a digital signal processor (DSP) for exceptionally low distortion and a superior signal-to-noise ratio. The receiver also offers two independent audio outputs, one balanced and one unbalanced, providing you with the flexibility you need for various applications.
One of the standout features of the R400a is its menu-driven graphic LCD display, which provides a convenient way to view and alter user settings. The device also incorporates SmartTune technology, which automatically scans all available frequencies in the receiver's frequency block, tuning the receiver to the frequency with the lowest RF interference. This significantly reduces setup time, especially in RF-saturated environments.
The R400a also employs SmartDiversity, a microprocessor-controlled antenna phase combining technology that effectively deals with multi-path dropouts. This system operates over a wide range of RF levels to anticipate dropouts before they occur, ensuring a stable and reliable signal.
The R400a receiver is designed to operate optimally with Lectrosonics 400 Series transmitters. However, its digital signal processing flexibility allows it to operate with Lectrosonics 200 Series, 100 Series, and certain non-Lectrosonics transmitters in special compatibility modes.
To enhance the effective dynamic range of the system, the R400a is equipped with a Smart Noise Reduction algorithm. This removes hiss without sacrificing high-frequency response, ensuring clear and crisp audio. The receiver also uses a DSP-based Pilot Tone to control the receiver audio muting (squelch), eliminating thumps, pops, and other transients.
The R400a offers both Balanced (XLR) audio output and Unbalanced (1/4-inch jack) Line Out and Monitor output for ultimate flexibility. Both outputs operate independently and are each controlled by their own digital attenuator. The Unbalanced Output can even drive Low-Z headphones to a modest level, making it perfect for system monitoring.
In conclusion, the R400a Digital Hybrid Wireless Diversity Receiver is a state-of-the-art device that offers superior performance, flexibility, and convenience. It's the perfect choice for professionals who demand the best in wireless signal reception.
