How can you ensure impeccable audio quality and reliable performance in challenging RF environments The R400A Digital Hybrid Wireless UHF Diversity Receiver is your solution. Engineered to seamlessly integrate with Lectrosonics' esteemed 400 Series Digital Hybrid Wireless transmitters, as well as the 200 Series, 100 Series analog transmitters, and IFB transmitters, this receiver also offers compatibility with select analog transmitters from other brands (contact Lectrosonics for compatibility details).
With a vast selection of 256 user-selectable UHF frequencies within Frequency Block 25 (640.000-665.500MHz), the R400A is designed to meet the demands of professional audio applications. Its advanced audio processing utilizes a digital signal processor (DSP) to minimize distortion, ensuring a superior signal-to-noise ratio. The receiver boasts two independent audio outputs: a balanced XLR and an unbalanced 1/4-inch jack, each with their own digital attenuator for precise level control.
The R400A's cutting-edge Digital Hybrid Wireless Technology merges the clarity of digital audio with the stability of an analog FM radio link. This innovative approach encodes 24-bit digital audio into an analog format for transmission, then decodes it back to its original digital form, eliminating compandor artifacts and delivering a flat audio frequency response up to 20 kHz.
SmartTune technology simplifies frequency selection, especially in RF-dense environments, by automatically scanning and selecting the clearest frequency, reducing setup time. SmartDiversity employs microprocessor-controlled antenna phase combining to combat multipath dropouts, while SmartSquelch dynamically adjusts squelching behavior to maintain audio integrity under varying signal conditions.
The R400A's SmartNR (Noise Reduction) algorithm intelligently removes hiss without affecting high-frequency content, such as speech sibilance, enhancing the system's dynamic range. Additionally, the DSP-based Pilot Tone system uses ultrasonic tones to control audio muting, preventing unwanted noise when transmitters are switched on or off.
The receiver's menu-driven graphic LCD display offers a user-friendly interface for adjusting settings and monitoring performance. Whether you're dealing with live sound, broadcast, theater, or film, the R400A Digital Hybrid Wireless UHF Diversity Receiver is engineered to deliver professional-grade audio fidelity and robust wireless connectivity.
