Great rangefinder great price
I've been using this rangefinder for over a year now. I play 3 to 5 rounds per week. The accuracy of the device has helped me understand my capabilities as they have changed with my age. It provides better accuracy than my GPS unit, is very easy to use and doesn't need to be recharged daily. It captures the flag stick even with distracting backgrounds. The COOLSHOT 40 is designed exclusively for measuring actual distance, while the COOLSHOT 40i incorporates ID Technology which displays the slope adjusted distance (Horizontal distance +/- height) - ideal for use on golf courses with uphill and downhill slopes.
Both the COOLSHOT 40i and 40 offer a multilayer-coated 6x high-quality finder for bright, clear images. Thanks to Nikon's original data-processing algorithm HYPER READ, the measured distance is displayed with a fast, stable response regardless of how far you are from the target. The measurement result is shown in approx. 0.5 second, enabling you to focus on your game with stress-free measurement. Both models employ the First Target priority mode, which is useful to measure the distance to a flagstick on a green with woods in the background, during approach shots.
For all these features, the Nikon COOLSHOT 40i and 40 are easy to operate, compactly designed to ensure a comfortable grip and portability. Rainproofing is applied to handle sudden showers.
