A robust and efficient solution for sports event announcers, the Pro Co Sound SAS3 Sports Announcer's Push-to-Talk Button Switch is a desktop microphone switch that guarantees clean and reliable performance. Engineered to work seamlessly with any balanced or floating low-impedance (150 Ohms nominal) microphone or signal source, this device is compatible with both condenser-type and dynamic microphones. The SAS3 is not just limited to sports announcing; it is versatile enough for any setting that requires a desktop push-to-talk device. The user-friendly design allows the microphone signal to be passed to the sound system by simply depressing and holding down the push-to-talk button on the SAS3. As a momentary press-to-talk switch, the SAS3 requires the switch to be held down for the duration of the live signal. Releasing the switch instantly mutes the microphone, preventing any unwanted signal transmission to the sound system.Standard microphone cables are used for connections between the SAS3 and the sound system, ensuring easy setup and compatibility. The user's microphone connects to the SAS3 through a female microphone adapter, conveniently incorporated into the end of the 6-inch gooseneck mounted on the device's top panel. This 6" black chrome gooseneck also houses an integrated microphone cable for added convenience. The SAS3 also features an additional Mic Input via a Female XLR-type connector located on the back panel. Both the gooseneck-mounted and rear panel Mic Inputs are wired in parallel and controlled by the push-to-talk switch. A Male XLR-type connector is provided for Mic Output, ensuring a wide range of connectivity options.Constructed with a 16-gauge steel top and a rugged 11-gauge, black epoxy painted steel base, the SAS3 enclosure offers excellent magnetic shielding from 60Hz AC hum fields. All control and connector function graphics are clearly identified on a textured polycarbonate overlay for easy operation. The unit also comes with four non-conductive, anti-skid feet on its base, ensuring stability during use. With top-quality connectors and switches, the SAS3 is designed to provide trouble-free service, even in demanding environments like remote broadcast and recording operations.
