This is a fantastic lens! Images are crystal clear and functionality is super smooth. Weighty but not too bad, extremely solid feeling. Definitely a good fit for the landscape photographers bag.

I mostly love long telephoto lenses, but for indoor sessions, I decided to invest in this lens an all around solution to wide angles. As much as I don't love wide angle lenses it is SO NICE to have this when I'm shooting in tight spaces and small rooms. The only thing I don't love is when you shoot backlit outdoor portraits with this, the lens flare is a green Marvin the Martian space ray gun kinda look. Best way I can describe it, ha. Not cute. But I mostly use it indoors so not a huge issue for me.

Excellent lens and a great feeling in the hands. Sharp as a tack, I see no reason to ever shoot anything but f/2. Internal focus is always a pleasure to use as well. Heavy piece of glass but well worth it.

I'm sure you've heard of the prime vs zoom dilemma. There are lots of factors to which each can be good, and at the end of the day it depends on your application / shooting situation. For weddings I love the 24 & 50mm combo. But 35 is my overall favorite focal length. This lens gives me the ability to have "both" 24 and 35 on one body and my 50 on the other. That way I can shoot most of my photos with the 35 and zoom out to 24 in a snap if needed. It's certainly a compromise (a little bit of zoom at f/2). Sharp as hell, it's now what I make 90% of my wedding images with. It's basically two (or three if you include 28) prime lenses in one. Now I just need a 50-85 f/2....

Over the years, I have owned several professional-grade wide lenses. The Sigma 24-35 f2 Art does not take a 'backseat' to any of them in terms of image quality, build, etc. Although I primarily shoot primes, I have found the 24-35 to perform as a prime. If you are 'on-the-fence' regarding purchase of this lens, I'd recommend you read the review of this lens at Photography Life.

The lens is OK, just OK however is so fragile, mine broke after 4 days of use. Built quality is way less than expected. It was supposed to be almost as good as 3 primes but is way far from that, with very soft edges not justifying the limited range. By the way stay away from the cleaning kit!!!! The cloth leaves tons of debris and the brush is so greasy!!!!! It took me a while to clean everything again for using this kit on the field. Now for the first time in more than 17 years will try to use the insurance, will let you know

Loving this lens. Use it mostly at 35, but glad there is the option to go wider if I need it. Really does take the place of having several primes. It's a heavy lens but I don't mind. It's built solid, and shoots sharp images. That's what matters.

See my review of this lens separately. Since all of the extras came with it, my comment here is confined to the rest of the package. I found all of the items that Adorama supplied with this lens to be useful and well designed. A tremendous value overall!

Regardless of performance this lens has no direct competition. But, even if it did, this lens would still come out on top. Can't say enough about the image quality it produces: high sharpness throughout the image from f2.8 on, and at all focal lengths. Even more impressive is its ability to produce high resolution while preserving smooth tonal transitions. This is easily a $2,000. to $2,500. lens for under 1K. And beautifully constructed too. The extra size and weight doesn't bother me, as it takes the place of three prime lenses that I would otherwise carry. Outstanding!

I was stuck looking at the options at 24, 28, 30, and 35mm. I also knew I wanted a prime and Id like it to be fast and with a little character, not as clinical as some lenses are getting so it could double for environmental portraiture. This lens delivers on all those fronts, except with the versatility of a zoom. Super sharp from 2.2 onwards. Even at F2 its way sharper than Id need for low-light portraiture or photo-journalism. Overall a great lens that gave me the quality of a prime at four focal lengths. I didn't need normal FLs covered (40-70) so this was a great lens for me. Faster than the 24-70 2.8's, better performance where I needed it from 24-35. One lens instead of four in my bag. In terms of negatives that aren't worth knocking off a star, its heavy. And long. The focus assist light is obstructed by the length of the lens, which can be irritating and throw off low-light focus (see below). Those aren't show stoppers for me by any means, but be aware if those are issues for you. The only thing I would consider taking a half star off for (which I can't so I left it at 5) is its low light focusing performance leaves something to be desired. At first I thought it was just missing focus vis-a-vis needing adjustment, but that wasn't the case. It doesn't quite hunt in low-light, not sure if it gives up or thinks it got focus correct, but you have to be careful and make sure you're getting good focus on critical shots if there isn't a lot of light to work with.

I love this lens for capturing the whole story. The versatility of having the zoom from the 24mm to the 35mm is perfect. It is heavier than I anticipated but has quickly become my go-to lens that rarely leaves my camera.

My first impression is very positive. I purchased this lens specifically to do a magazine photo shoot inside a children's furniture store where lighting, section to section within the store, is quite variable. I have taken the lens to the location to do some test shots and the results are very sharp with excellent color. Obviously, the speed of the lens is a huge asset as I can use one remote speed light rather than cart a series of fixed soft boxes for supplemental illumination. I think this will turn out to be one of my favorite lenses. Incidentally, I also own the 50 mm f 1.4 Art and everything I've read about this amazing lens is true.

It's love! I was nervous to receive, thinking I should have gone with the 35 Sigma Art....I am a prime gal. But I love this lens! Beautiful bokeh, ultra sharp!

I've been blown away by the image quality of this lens. It's quickly become my favorite lens due to the F/2 speed and quality in this range. Decent amounts of vignetting when shot wide open but it's nothing Photoshop or stopping down a little doesn't fix.

The Sigma 24-35mm lens incorporates the latest Sigma technology, including an optimized autofocus (AF) algorithm for smooth, fast, and accurate focusing, as well as manual focus (MF) override functionality. As with many Sigma Global Vision lenses, Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) compound material is used, which has a high affinity to metal parts, consistently performs well at extreme temperatures, and reduces the size and weight of the lens. In addition, its Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting, and provides sharp and high-contrast images, even in backlit conditions. It's ideal for close-up shooting, portraits and deep-focus landscape photography.
