Mismatch

Great product. Delivery as promised. One problem, the boot did not fit with my older Sony camera. Had to go and spend 'big bucks' to film my event. Bought the camera at a local store to make sure the boot fit. Recommend to review your website for product description.

Perfect for Travel

A few years ago I had the ECM-AW4 version. It was a refurbished item and I had problems with it syncing and it often thought the battery was low or dead when it wasn’t.I really didn’t want to bring my bulky and expensive wireless mic system with me on a European trip, so I thought I’d give these ECM-W1M (which is compatible with my Sony FDR-AX53) a try.I’m very pleased with the performance and sound quality. Since the receiver draws power from the hot shoe, there’s one less battery to worry about. For travel, I definitely recommend.

Worked on a Sony HDR-PJ790V

Worked perfectly on my PJ790 camcorder. Distance was about 40-50 yards when I tested it. Note that it will NOT work via the 5.1 mix setting...only single or mono mix setting will work (single you record only from the microphone, mono mix you record from the microphone and the receiver). You can also plug headphones into the microphone to hear what the person holding the camcorder is saying, and you can also plug headphones into the receiver to hear what is being recorded via the microphone. Great little gadget!
