While the 300 and 500 series have their unique character and sound profiles, the 700 made a transition into an upgraded class of comfort, sound control, and quality."

While the recordings are well balanced, I feel the top end is slightly boosted around 10k which pleasantly added a crisp clarity without any distortion. For a mid-sized, mid-level, multi-patterned condenser mic, I’m quite impressed with the TAC700 and its performance in a post-production setting."
