Box came a bit dinged up but overall good. Paper performed as expected but needed to develop for longer than recommended on spec sheet in D76.

Still learning how to use this paper. Claims to be both OC and red light safe. Some fogging with the OC filter. Needs about one additional filter number to get the desired contrast I used to get with other papers. Appears that there has been a recent change in the emulsion across several paper suppliers I have used. Better than some recent experiences I have had with other brands. Still a good value for the price.

I tried this photopaper in the lab and outside in the sun. I am very pleased with my results: clarity, development times and other important factors exceeded my results. Good paper, I need more!

I liked the finish on this paper - it was easy to use, obvious which side is emulsion in darkroom. Worked well

An economical paper. Good DMax. Decent highlights. Works well with split grade printing and also works well with Polyphenol developers. And reasonably priced as well.

Become a master of monochrome with the Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC Paper, a premium choice for black and white photographic printing. This high-quality, variable contrast paper features a durable, medium weight, polyethylene-coated base that stands up to frequent handling. Its semi-matte surface offers a professional finish that photographers and artists alike will appreciate, striking the perfect balance between gloss and texture to showcase your work with subtlety and depth.
The Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC Paper is designed for versatility, accommodating a wide range of contrast levels. By utilizing standard yellow and magenta colored filters, you can seamlessly select the desired contrast from a spectrum akin to graded papers, offering you the creative control to bring your vision to life. Whether you're using Ilford Multigrade or Kodak Polymax/Polycontrast filters, or even an enlarger color head, adjusting the amount of magenta or yellow filters allows for precise contrast control from grade 0 through grade 5.
Crafted for consistency, the Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC Paper is optimized for tungsten or tungsten quartz halogen light sources, ensuring reliable contrast values across your prints. The exposure process is straightforward and varies depending on the filter system in use, with most grades sharing the same speed rating and higher grades requiring additional exposure time.
In the darkroom, this paper demands standard OC, red, or sodium vapor safelights, with careful attention to distance and exposure time to prevent safelight fog. When it comes to processing, the paper is compatible with both tray and roller transport processing machines, excluding activation/stabilization processing. It develops beautifully in any standard black and white photographic paper developer, typically within 60 - 90 seconds at 68°F (20°C), following the developer manufacturer's recommendations.
After development, a standard stop bath will halt the process effectively and help preserve the life of your fixer. The fixing stage is equally straightforward, with a standard fixing solution ensuring your prints are permanent. Finally, a brief wash in running water removes any remaining chemicals without the need for hypo clearing agents or eliminators.
For optimal preservation, store the Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC Paper in a cool, dry place. If you're planning on extended storage, a freezer can be used, but always allow the paper to warm up adequately before use and avoid condensation. Always return unused paper to its original packaging to maintain its integrity.
With the Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC Paper, you can affordably produce professional-grade prints that are as enduring as they are exquisite. Whether for educational purposes, exhibitions, or personal portfolios, this paper is an essential tool for anyone serious about black and white photography.
