Excellent value. Good company. Remove the 4GB non-ECC memory that comes with it though.

Best 8 bay NAS for the lay user

The DS1819+ is a great little (big) NAS. It does everything I could want and more. Simple. Easy to setup and very effective. Would highly recommend any day of the week

Absolutely worth the price

Incredibly easy to setup. Since it's also a Linux environment I was able to migrate data from my NTFS drive directly by mounting it and copying everything to the newly created volume.
