Great flash at the right price.

Great flash for the money. The ttl isn't always perfect, especially when shooting closeups, tends to expose a bit hot, but you get what you pay for. It's a lot of power for an on camera flash which makes it good for event shooting.

This is a workhorse that doesn't seem to fail. I've dropped it many times but it's built like a Timex watch or a Volvo (the old folks here will understand). The power output gives you a nice range to choose from. Menu is complicated but I just use a few settings in manual. Battery pack appears to be good for at least 2,000 pictures per charge on fractional power, ie. 1/8 power. Recycle time is way less than a second when using partial power. I use it with an umbrella for portraits and go bare bulb for candids, especially in large rooms with high ceilings. Small screw-in reflector and modifier is a nice touch for outdoors when you can't use a large modifier. I bought a thingamajig adaptor / connector that hooks up both leads at once and transports power between battery and strobe even faster than usual. Nice that part of the battery is modular so when you deplete a pack, you can attach another one in there without any fuss.

If you don't mind having a battery pack tag along, it's a solid purchase. I use a pair of these to light a headshot backdrop. I point them into umbrellas that are pointed at the backdrop. They are solid with a quick recycling time and a battery that lasts all day. I have been pleasantly surprised at their reliability and performance. The home run would be to have the battery within the unit itself. However, Flashoint/Godox allows for this in other units.

I love the quality of light from this flash. It fires every time, and has been very dependable. Only downfall is it?s heavy and sticks out a bit so when your looking through the view finder, your eye brow hits the flash before your eye is even at the view finder. I shoot events outside in the bright sun and the TTL is great.

I?m sad they are phasing these out. It?s an amazing light for event photography and wedding photography. I have 4, and they have been the cornerstone of my kit for half a decade.

The Flashpoint 360 Streak works great for my needs, fast recycling time and the battery pack is very light for carrying, the flash head is a little heavy but still easy to carry. I wish they had an extender available for it

Best speedlight I have ever owned. I have Nikon sb 600,800,900. They served me well but the bare bulb flashpoint is so much better along with the power pack. I keep buying the flash( I own two) and four battery packs. I can't think of anything to complain about. I can only think of how great the light is and the accessories as well( I have the beauty dish and various soft boxes

I've had it for about 2 years and find it reliable and practical. I would never attach it to a camera hotshoe, it's far too heavy and would bend the hotshot. It's exceptional on a light stand. I use two of them refected into medium umbrellas to light a backdrop for headshots. I've also used them on location for events, either hand held off-camera or on a stand. The ttl off-camera remote is consistent and reliable as well.

I have used this on and off for a while now. I have traveled with it and it has never failed. I do not use it hours on end five days a week but when I do use it it works. For me the battery life is perfect. Given the size/specs the recycle times are not bad either.

This is a reliable flash. I used it for hours at a wedding, the battery pack kept going, and the flash kept up. Only negative is the weight. As a small person, this is HEAVY, heavy! Needed a massage afterwards!

This works great as an on-camera flash, but really shines in a reverse-parabolic modifier.

I've been using this pretty heavily for about three years now. Aside from replacing the bulbs (which are pretty expensive) when I knocked over the light stand myself (all my fault), this has been a durable, bright and cost efficient light. It recycles quickly (if you use the Y cable to have both battery leads go in to a single flash) and it is flexible enough that the power pack can power two flash units if you don't mind a longer recycle time. While this original version is NOT TTL compatible, but it is HSS compatible with the old Cells II triggers. I always recommend buying the flashpoint brand from Adorama instead of the original Godox brand off that mega website named after a river in Brazil because with Adorama you get a full year warranty, while the other place only gives you a shorter warranty.

I really like this flash/battery pack. It is powerful and fully adjustable. The the charge lasts a very long time. It is also small and light enough to carry and use comfortably.

I really like this flash. Even though there are probably better models out now, this works well for me. The battery back lasts quite a long time.

This has become my go-to light for outdoor shoots. The battery pack is separate, so you use a cable between the two components. Once you get over that hurdle, you see the advantages. Separating them divides the weight, keeping the head lighter for use on a boom outside. The battery life is fantastic. No matter what you shoot, you can rest assured this thing will last. I love mine. 360 Watt Seconds of light beats the 300, and is close to the 400. For the money, power, and battery life, you can't go wrong. I recommend the bifurcated battery to unit cable for quick recycle times.

I have only used it for one wedding, but the flash and power pack held up to hours of use. At one point it started missing, but I realized pretty quickly that the connection from the flash to the camera had loosened. I tightened it, and the flash continued on. The only thing I would say that could be updated would be connection - use one that doesn't come undone! Also, I am not a big person, so weight is a consideration. The flash is very heavy, especially compared to my Canon 580 speedlight. The battery pack hooked onto my belt, which I had to tighten so the battery wouldn't pull it down. That would have made for an interesting turn at the wedding. All in all, worked great for me. Hopefully it will continue to work. I had a Flashpoint speedlight which only lasted for one wedding ~ in the middle of the second (same wedding mentioned above), it got an E1 error, which means it needs to go back to service. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Guide# compare with my AlienBee AB1600
By Sanjib S.
While I am sold on good build quality, nice packing, reasonable power and very affordable price, here is my comparison with AB1600 & SB800. The claimed GN does not make sense. Here is my test results on the day I received it. AB1600 at full power in 7 inch std reflector - Sekonic L308s light meter, ISO 100 at 10 feet measured aperture approx f/16 i.e GN155 that closely matches with GN 160 listed at PCB spec. Nikon SB800 at 50mm zoom head full manual power measured GN100, where as NIKON manu...

Things to know about the StreakLight 360 TTL
By T S.
Hi everyone, I own 4 of the version I 360s and just purchased an additional 2 of the TTLs. I've used these lights for sports, weddings, senior portraits, fitness shoots, etc, for the last few years without issue. They're very portable and hassle free. It seems as if the manufacturer is continuing to develop them in a positive fashion. For example, certain modifiers tended to loosen and fall off of the version I, so they adjusted the mounts to prevent this with the next iteration. They fi...
