I have plenty of no-name batteries for older cameras. Some work, some don't. In-camera charging raises the stakes, so I splurged and have not regretted it.

Alway us Olympus batteries in your equipment, I've never had a problem and I think they last longer than the knock-offs

It is a battery that works! More pricey rhan third party batteries but did not want to deal with multiple chargers as there seems to be some issues with proprietary firmware and battery/charger combinations.

The OMD definitely needs a backup battery if you like to shoot all day. I'm happy with this as a backup and have had bad luck with third party batteries so I always stick with the real thing!

Excellent battery for the OM-D camera. I bought an after market battery and it would not charge. It was a total waste of money. The BLN-1 works very well.

Received new battery with some expectation as I have tried several after-market batteries before. The plus side being this one adapts to the original Oly charger. After 249 shots with average settings and the LCD off the battery gave out. This is comparable to other after-market batteries which can be purchased for almost half the price but do require a separate charger. For the small cost difference I will stay with the original Olympus battery in the future.

There is no substitute for OEM Olympus batteries.

I have learned the hard way to only buy OEM batteries for any camera. Think about it- a manufacturer makes a battery specifically for a certain camera, and stakes their reputation on its quality. An after market company could care less, and always makes an inferior product. I have read that a non OEM ischeaper, and as such makes a good backup. Really? What's good about a cheap backup battery that doesn't hold a strong charge, or last for years! But the real thing, which this is.

Necessary item for the OMDE5Ii. Batteries don't hold charge long so extras are critical

For use with my E-M1. This is the authentic battery from Olympus. There are aftermarket ones that work well. But there are also knock offs that claim they are Olympus but are not. I have two of them, they work well but now that I have an authentic one I will compare.

Just works. Also, no concern about whether or not your Oly charger will work or not. Would give it 5 stars, if not for the price

Good battery life compared to the Panasonic batteries I was using prior to my Olympus purchase. I always trust OEM batteries more than third party and have not been let down with these. Wish they were a little cheaper, but still worth the price.

Over the years I have Olympus brand and after market brand batteries, and I think that the Oly brand is best. They seem to hold their charge better and deliver it consistently to the camera. Just beginning to get used to my new OMD-E-M1, so it's a little too soon to report on the battery in use, but I expect no problems. Charging time is like any other - 3 hours. Just need to get used to it.

What can you say about a battery? Well, it works. And, it works when it's 10 degrees below zero! A week in February taking photos in Yellowstone NP and no problems. Enough said?

Hey, I needed a spare OEM battery. Adorama had the manufacture's battery, at the lowest price around AND free shipping. What can I say, the battery works as expected.

I use this in EM-1 Camera and it is a good product. Genuine Olympus and works well. Unfortunately the EM-1 has but a one battery compartment but that is no fault of the battery.

Charged right up, holds a charge, and lasts a long time. Can't ask for more, except a lower price

I was going to get a third party battery, but read that the original charger for my BLN-1 battery (that came with my OM-D) would not charge a third party battery. That concerned me. While I have read many people having success using them and using third party battery chargers for them, I am not ready to jump on the bandwagon. When investing this much money in a camera system I love, I am more than willing to spend an extra $30 to get a battery that is guaranteed to work and designed by the same people that designed my camera. I highly suggest buying the original Olympus battery over a third party one. In the long run it will be worth it.
