The M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm F4.0-5.6 II is a great lens for most situations. The range is great for wide angle, portrait or wildlife. It's a light weight lens that's easy to carry and use. I recently used this lens for some street photography and it performed very well. While I was at it, I got some really nice nice wide angle shots of some historical builds without having to change lenses. If you want to carry just one lens, this is the one for you!

Versatile, compact, and generally underrated lens, the 14-150 is my Swiss Army knife for any situation where I don’t know what I might encounter on a photo walk or assignment. Plenty sharp enough at all focal lengths for the current 20MP M43 sensors, meaning sharp enough for almost anything. Use prime lenses when more speed is needed or when background blur is a must (eg 75mm F1.8), but otherwise this is a great one lens toolbox in and of itself.

Fantastic lens. Very sharp. Weathersealed. Fantastic range of focal lengths from wide angle to telephoto. Very little need for additional lenses (unless you're after some specialty lens like a macro or super telephoto). Has a quality feel to the materials even though it's not a pro lens. Well worth every penny.

We bought the 14-150 mm f/4-5.6 II for my wife to use for general photography and travel. This is a great all purpose lens in a small, light, easy-to-handle package. It is more than meeting our expectations and its great to have a lens of this size and flexibility to offer the additional advantage of weathersealing. Overall, a wonderful little lens that my wife really enjoys using.

Immensely useful, make sure that you use it with an OMD-EM10 or newer model so that fringing and CA's are controlled in camera. This and the 9mm body cap lens in your pocket make traveling light a breeze.

I just purchased this lens after having it on my wish list for years. So far I am very pleased. I like the weight and balance on my E-M10 as I prefer to hold the lens, not the body, and that was not possible with the original 14-42 EZ although that is a great lens for quick and compact use. The sharpness and clarity appear to be better than my legacy 75-150 Olympus OM lens that I have used for many years. The new lens gives me the advantage of wide angle without changing the lens. The 12-100 Pro would probably have been a better lens for my purposes but I couldn't justify the increased cost since this is not for professional use. This combined with my TG-5 gives me all-weather photography in any condition. A low light wide angle is next for indoor architectural and outdoor night street scenes.

This is my go to lens. A perfect all-in-one lens. I keep this weather-sealed lightweight workhorse on my weather-sealed OM-D E-M5 all the time. Let it rain.

Got it as a kit lens for my EM5 III. Got also Panasonic 25/1.7, but the 14-150 is with me 98% of time. Through Argentina, NYC and Israel it gives me beautiful all around pictures. Together with the camera it forms a lightweight, compact kit that makes me love photography again. Glad I bought it! Only limitation is the wide angle - the cellular goes wider..

This is a great lens to replace the kit lens. It is nice to have a lens that will go from moderate wide angle all the way to decent telephoto. I don't use it for video but it should work fine if you set the aperture to f/5.6 if you are zooming. It really helps that it is weather sealed.

Great lens for travel photography. Excellent Zoom range. Pretty lightweight considering lens capability. Very good photo quality.

After less than stellar performance of 12-50 I was leery. However this lens is a big winner performs far above it's price point. Great sharpness 2 stops down and ALMOST Macro close ups make it a winner

I've been tempted to purchase the new 12-200mm lens; but every time I get the itch, I strap this baby onto my Pen F or E-M1 mark ii body, go out shooting and come home confident I do not need the extra range and additional piece of glass in my bag. This lens consistently delivers great color, contrast, and clarity.

I really like this lens. This is definitely a step or two up from a kit lens. This is the lens that lives on my camera body 90 percent of the time. What keep this a 4 instead of 5 star lens is the speed, but then the pro lens is a bit out of my budget.

I own two full -size camera bodies and numerous lens. I purchased this lens for two reasons. 1) I was going to a city where crime against tourists is common so I wanted something more discrete than the large zooms I have. 2) I took one of my full-sized cameras to Mongolia and it got filled with the super fine sand that is there. It managed to make it through the trip, but I had to get it professionally cleaned afterwards. I decided to get this lens and an OM-D E-M5 Mark II weatherproof body because of that. I am impressed with the size of the lens, how well-built it feels, and the range it covers. It is going to be my go to overseas travel lens and camera. Bon Voyage!

Pros: 1. Great range of focal lengths. 2. Amazing sharpness when in bright (scale 1 to 10: 4 to 10 brightness level) and set to the right aperture and ISO in manual mode 3.at 100 to 150mm focal length, sports and animal photos are not challenges 4. at 50 to 100mm, you get to capture good portraits and decent blurry background 5. at 14 to 20mm, you can take pretty good landscape or cityscapes and good startrails when set to livecomposite. 6. Great sharpness when not in the most extreme settings or conditions. Absolutely love it. It is my walk-around lens. Great range of focal length and good sharpness make it the best all-around lens ever. cons: 1. f-stop isn't low enough, meaning the aperture isn't quite enough for super amazing blurry background 2. like #1, the aperture isn't quite enough for low light conditions

Lens was purchased for a Panasonic G9. Image quality was sharp although the focus seemed bit slower than native Panasonic lenses. Works well and weather resistant always a plus.

I use it on OMD EM1.. Fantastic lens. 600 mm easily handheld. Even if you 2x it, great results handheld after PS antishake.

This lens seems able to do it all. It will provide images from wide angle to mid telephoto. The coverage is the same as the popular 28-300mm full frame lenses. The closeup abilities are quite good giving good detail with good color rendition. This lens is positioned between the Pro lenses, and the low priced budget lenses. If it is within your budget, give this lens consideration. See the attached for example.

I purchased this lens to go with my E-M5 II for an all around travel lens for my wife to use on vacations. The E-M5 II feels better balanced in my hands with this lens attached with the optional grip attached on the camera.

I've have 5 different Oly lenses but I find that I use this one the most. It's versatile and sharp. I can use it for taking landscape pictures one minute and wildlife the next. The only reason I didn't give the full 5 stars is the widest aperture of f4.0-5.6 limits low light performance. If that is important to you, you can get the 40-150mm f2.8 Pro (a superb lens) but then you lose the wide angle of this lens. It's hard to beat this lens for the money though.

I'm just finding my way around the E-M1 after years of using Canon and the Fuji x series. I love the size and weight of the E-M1 and I get really nice images evey time with less post processing required. The ergonomics are on a par with Canon and much betterb than Fuji. The Fuji was bought as a smaller format alternative to the Canon, but with the X-T1 and the 16-55mm lens it ended up bigger and weighing a ton. With the E-M1, I have that smaller format I was looking for, and a camera that I just want to take out and use.

This lens came as a kit lens on my E-M1 and it does a good job in all situations. Nice focal length from wide to moderate zoom, and macro. I get nice detailed images every time with this lens, but it is particularly impressive close up and in macro mode.

I really like this lens. I had the Panasonic 14-140mm which was really nice, but replaced it with the Panasonic 12-6mm f3.5-5.6 which is weather sealed and has slightly better image quality. This one beats both for image quality and has the weather sealing of the latter and the extra reach of the former. Perfect for me.

I have used this 14-150mm lens on both the Olympus EM5-II and, lately, the EM1-II. I am also using the 12-40mm PRO and the 75-300mm, as the occasion dictates. However, the 14-150 is on 95% of the time. It is a must lens for all around with outstanding results (both short range and zoom). Fully endorse it. I have attached some pics with this lens.

The Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4-5.6 II Zoom Lens
This 10.7x high-magnification interchangeable zoom lens features a dustproof and splashproof construction in a compact, lightweight body, and conforms to the Micro Four Thirds System standard. With this lens included, the M.Zuiko Digital dustproof and splashproof lens lineup totals five different lenses.
This lens is based on a redesign of the M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f4.0-5.6, which was released in June 2010. It features ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) Coating for thorough correction of ghosts and flaring, and the dustproof and splashproof performance used on the OM-D E-M1 and E-M5 Mark II. The compact, lightweight M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f4.0-5.6 II (28-300mm, 35mm equivalent ), covers the focal length from wide angle to telephoto. This single 10.7x high-magnification zoom lens is perfect for capturing close-ups of children's expressions, shooting indoors and outdoors, and a wide variety of subjects. It now features a dustproof and splashproof construction, making it perfect for traveling.
The design has also been completely reworked and the same sealing, dustproof and splashproof construction as the current four dustproof and splashproof M.Zuiko Digital lenses is used to match the design to the OM-D E-M1 and E-M5 Mark II.
