NOT supported on Linux
The package and collateral on the canon website says that this printer is supported on Linux, but it's not. Not only is the Debian package broken (their scripts set DISPLAY to :0, but it's incorrect on my machine, or if you're installing on a remote machine), but even after busting open their deb package file and fixing their scripts it turns out that they don't provide a .ppd file for CUPS to use! I've tried some of the other .ppd files that they do provide, but none of them work!
How can they claim Linux support? Using it as a dumb line printer isn't what I call supported, at least not since 1985.

Simply AWESOME
I recently purchased a printer that has exceeded my expectations. It prints at lightning speed and is compact and user-friendly. Unlike other printers such as HP or Brothers, it does not require complex software. I was able to set it up quickly after purchasing it on sale at my local Staples, and within an hour, I had printed over 40 pages. The double-sided printing feature was a pleasant surprise that also helped reduce my carbon footprint. Canon has done an excellent job in designing a printer with advanced features and functionality at an affordable cost. I am thrilled with my purchase and hope to use it for years to come.

Best little printer and great price
I use this printer in our law office. I have purchased probably 8-10 over several years. It is the best little printer. Fast printing, fast response time. Toner lasts a long time. What is there to complain about?

Great little B&W Laser Printer
I bought this 4+ years ago and it has never failed. Prints duplex without any issues. And the cartridges seem to last 4 to 6 months with heavy printing (mostly text, but a few webpages). Can be a little difficult to set up at first, but there are many videos (including YouTube and Canon site) that you simply follow along with the author's instructions. Changing the cartridge is simple, and I always forget how - but it's simply intuitive, I bought a 2nd one for the office and found all the same consistencies and ease-of-use in a networked / wireless environment.

Automatic 2-sided printing.
This printer is great for black and white 2-sided printing, is it basically automatic, no flipping or turning pages from one side to the other. Also great for writing addresses in Envelopes and other projects. extremely easy to use and clear prints.

Works every now and then. Mostly then.
I bought this a couple of years ago. Worked for about a year and then intermittently. I thought it was a driver issue so got to waste a saturday playing around with drivers. A whole day of my life. I get 365 days in a year and one of them wasted because of their stupid product.

can't scan or copy papersthe image class lbp6230 is a printer only. important to point out it does not scan or copy papers like every printer I've ever used can. it will be returned its no good to me.

Do not believe Canon when they say it's compatible with a Mac
I bought this in Jan 2019. I have this constant problem of it printing too lightly -- can barely read it. This happens whether it is a new ink cartridge or not. I cannot find a driver for this printer that installs on my Mac, so the Mac just uses generic printer drivers. That means no adjustments can be made, so I can't make it printer darker. From now on, I'll avoid Canon printers unless I know for certain that when they say it's compatible with a Mac, they actually mean it. For this printer, Mac users are an afterthought. It does print, but only a light grey so it is almost useless.

Canon Black & white printer
After some problems with setup, not enabling wireless, this printer does what I bought it for; printing black and white documents. It connected with USB. This serial number printed is not now supported so interested persons check with Canon for latest release for support.

Excellent printer
This printer was a diplay model at Staples with no toner cartridge and no power cord -it was on sale for $10 so I decided to buy it as I got a discounted toner online for $26 and I had a power cord - plugged it up and to my surprise it worked beautifully. I have been using it for 2 years and it still has not run out of toner - I cannot believe it - I use it for a lot of general printing including rental applications, leases etc and the toner just keeps going and going. I am very impressed even though I have a spare toner ready to go. My only gripe is that I was able to set it up to use on a router and I have since added about 2 additional routers but I cannot print wirelessly unless I go connect to that old router which I wanted to discontinue using but cant as the printer will only worked with my wired computer or from that router. Other than that this is definitely like the little engine that could. Wish they made one with color.

Doesnt work w10 and QuickBooks / support 30m 1hr on hold cs no help
Don't Buy if you use Quick Books and Win 10 ... cannot be setup up to print Customer service on hold over half an hour.. Support Clueless.. I am professional IT.. Canon Products are usually better than this... Support .. What support... Half an hour plus on hold to end up with a support tech that really had no answers or suggestions..

Love the printer.
Excellent value. I dont know what these people are complaining about. Windows 10. Check. Android phone. Check. IPhone. Check. Does NOT print too light. Just adjust printer settings. The app is a pain, true, but for $100, great value.

Poor image/print quality
I have been using this for almost a year and I am not satisfied with the quality of the printouts. Text is usually very light...especially if you are printing a webpage (almost unreadable. It is good for printing out drafts

Little Beast
Workhorse of a printer. I have 3 of the single side versions of these in my printer in my businesses that have been printing about 20 pages a day for 5 years without a single glitch. I decided to buy this duplex for my home office based on my experience with the other ones and also because the fancier more expensive color MX canon printer broke within a month. Haven't regretted the purchase. It has no bells and whistles. It just does its job as its supposed to. Also, generic cartridges work like a wonder on this and on the single side ones.

Perfect laser prints runs off home WiFi
Smaller size and speed make for a great printer. Toner is cheap enough and the print speed is very fast. Really like that it is a wireless printer. Just plug it in and set it up on the network.
Spouse and kids find it great for printing. Really like the feature to print from an Android device.

I love this little printer
I bought this printer because it was small and inexpensive. I just got it as an interim printer until I could decide what one I really wanted. Well I'm still using it and haven't decided "what I really want" because it is such a nice printer. Who knew that for a low price I could get a reliable machine that works through my wireless network, is relatively speedy, and even does duplex printing. I love it!
