The magnifier is easy to attach and remove. It makes focusing substantially faster and more accurate. The little case that attaches to the M8 strap is a typical Leica touch: at first, the case seems silly, but in use the case is brilliant.
Not an accessory but essential
I had problesm to find a focus with the Leica M9 before. The magnifier 1.4 helped me a lot and I had to undergo a surgery of the right eye and could not to use it for 3 days. With the magnifier one can use the camera with the right or with the left eye. With or without glasses. My fotos are much better now.
