Bought this camera while in Arizona to have a compact camera to carry around. I was able to take beautiful desert scenery photos. Later back home I used it at an indoor Earth Wind and Fire concert at a casino. Even though I was pretty far back I still took some amazing low light photos that look like I was on stage with them. It's compact easy to use and takes great pictures. You don't need a fancy dslr to take good photos.

Great camera

Bought this camera in Arizona to have a compact camera to carry around. I took some beautiful desert photos and photos in a museum. Back home I took photos at an Earth Wind and Fire concert. Good features but picture quality is meh.

I have used the Canon SX620 HS for almost 2 months and it has performed as I thought it would. It is easy to use and the picture quality is quite good for this type camera. It is compact, lite and adjusts to most all light conditions. My only wish is that could be a little faster is adjusting and focusing on the subject.

Excellent field inspection camera. Great clarity in zoom for hard to see areas. Wore out a 610 over 5 years and immediately upgraded to this 620. Very satisfied.

Cute camera that does a beautiful job and is easy to use

Great Camera

Very quick response.  I can turn it on and click to get a picture in very little time -- e.g. while my young kids are still doing whatever amusing thing I want a photo of.  It is really good for quick point and shoot.  I even took landscape photos out the window of a moving car, and got remarkably well focused images.  But I also like to have some control -- selecting the focus point/distance and adjusting the light metering.  In order to get it to focus in the center always, I put in in Program mode, and select center focus in the menu options.  Then I can half-click to get it to light meter and focus at a certain point, and then reframe the photo as I like.  I also sometimes had problems with it switching to macro mode (e.g. for a closeup of a flower) when in Auto, but it seems to work better in Program mode.  The large optical zoom is also an excellent feature, allowing me to get close-up images of little creatures that were many meters away.

I absolutely love this camera.  I'm a Chef and Recipe Developer and need good quality photographs. I'm no photographer but this camera makes me look like I am. It really delivers crystal, unbelievable quality pictures and is easy to use. I would absolutely recommend this awesome camera to anyone

Awesome camera

I purchased this camera as a gift for my wife.  She didn't want a bulky DSLR.  She loves it and I am impressed with the photos that she is getting from it. In some cases they are better than the ones that I take with my Canon 80D.

Can't recommend.  Settings are not intuitive and are fairly limited.  Drivers do not install. 
 Drivers required for Wi-Fi.  Zoom is about the only good part of the camera.  One of the questions for this survey is "Does this product replace one you already own?"  Sort of, the old camera is better

OK camera, can't connect to Wi-Fi

This is the 5th PowerShot SX camera that I have purchased.  I go through about 1 per year in my home inspection business.  This one shot crap in 4 months and stopped giving clear mid to long distance focusing, giving me unacceptable pics.  I think they should last longer that 1 year, however, but that is their service life.

Bad focusing

I bought this camera because I’m always taking pictures with my phone and that has no zoom capability whatsoever. This camera zooms nicely and you can even get a little depth of field effect. A DSLR it is definitely not, but it is very compact and handy for “nice” snapshots. I only wish it was easier to make manual lighting and focus adjustments. There is no manual focus.

WiFi set up was impossible.  Kept sending around in circles.  Finally used a USB cable to connect to my computer and download pictures directly to Drop Box. Also could not get support. "your camera is no longer has support:  NEW CAMERA  what give with that?

Purchased a Canon SX620 for our daughter a few years ago.  She loves it and has taken some fantastic pictures with it.  Being jealous, I decided to buy one for myself.  I wish to take pictures of rocks and gems that I will put up for sale.  It hasn't arrived yet, but I know it will be good.

Good Pics

This is a great camera if your just starting YouTube and can’t afford something like the g7x. The quality is good and it’s easy to work. Highly recommend if you want a good cheap camera.

Impressed

I have owned a Cannon SX230hs since 2011 and has been  with me on a 10,000 mile motorcycle trip to Alaska, 18 National Parks, Sturgis, Washington DC, several cruises and many other trips. I was saddened when it started acting erratic. The SX620hs has big shoes to fill and I must say so far I have been quite pleased. It is lighter and a tab bit smaller and I notice it is made in China and feels more cheaply built but the main thing is it takes good photos, very good zoom and is easy to use. My main camera is a Cannon 60D and this one will be for hikes and motorcycle trips. Only time will tell if it can last a hard 9 years like my SX230hs.

its best for the price

I am really pleased with how light weight this camera is and yet it produces high quality photos. The rear view screen makes it so easy for my senior eyes to see what I am aiming at and what data the camera is relaying to me about my shot. Thank you for a quality product.

The camera was sent to me quickly.  The packaging was not damaged.  The camera worked very well out of the box.  It is well made and takes great photos.  The price was great.

... for what is termed "easy to use."  This camera has some really neat features and the quality of the photos is beyond what I expected.  I take a lot of photos of deer & birds & a few squirrels here & there and have been pleasantly surprised at the detail.  As I said, VERY exciting camera!

Exactly as decried

I bought this camera to take on vacation, since my last camera is probably 10 years old. I love that I can control it with my phone. The app and a mini tripod let me take great group shots. The camera also took great shots from a moving car, and I wasn't expecting those to turn out.
