Worst RAID device I have used in 30 years in IT.

Two drives failed within a month. Spent hours fighting with WD customer "support" - after 3 months I get two replacement drives. Put them into the device to rebuild RAID 5 - and the entire logical drive has no disappeared. Worst RAID device I have used in 30 years in IT. ONLY USE THIS AS A SCRATCH DRIVE - otherwise worthless.

Dead on arrival again

I wish there was a way to give less than one star. This is the second unit I purchased that arrived dead on arrival - no power when plugged in. WD seems to do zero quality control, and I bet I am stuck paying shipping again to return the unit.

Bang for the buck

I would definitely recommend this product. The setup was fairly easy. I'm not the most tech savvy in comparison to the rest of my friends in post-production, but I got it setup no problem. I was pressured to buy this years ago, and after filling up two separate 10TB hard drives that ran much slower than this, I caved and made the big purchase. It definitely delivers more bang for the buck than making smaller more short-term investments.
