This lens is excellent for portrait, street, sports and landscapes. For a lens of this range, it is compact, beautifully balanced and light weight compared to equivalents used on full frame or APS-C DSLR's. The Olympus M. Zuiko 40-150mm F2.8 Pro lens is a very fine, constant, versatile, workhorse optic that is reliable into various conditions of uses.
"Mine is smaller than yours!". You will rarely say this as an advantage especially from the macho male photographer point of view. But in the case of the Olympus M. Two is Better Than One
Smooth, rapid autofocus is a crucial factor in image quality. The 40-150mm f2.8 PRO's innovative, industry-first Dual VCM (voice coil motor) AF delivers. Separating the focusing mechanism into two lens groups controlled by individual linear drive motors makes AF performance extremely fast and, with no gears involved, nearly friction-free and incredibly quiet.
Professional Build Quality Olympus knows that serious shooters need the highest quality equipment, so they built the 40-150mm f2.8 PRO zoom accordingly.
