Review Summary

I bought the 0.9 to replace a 0.6 I'd used for years after it was stolen on a photo trip. Both ND filters work(ed) great, held up extremely well to hard/frequent use and did/do exactly what they're supposed to. I would, and have, recommended this filter to a friend and would, and have, bought it again if needed.

I love this filter. Well built. I use this filter 95% of the time for landscaping and seascape shots. It works well with combined with polarized filter during bright morning shot.

Used with Lee SW150 filters to enhance shadow/dark rea details. Does exactly what it is supposed to. Great quality, constant effect all across the filter. Honestly have found no lesser points. Love this filter works stacked when needing a intermediate highlight reduction/longer shutter open response.

I use 0,6 and 0,9 filters with all my lenses. Great quality without color shift, but a little bit expensive for piece of glass.

Not for you casual user. But I think all those who are looking at this know what they are in for. Effective. Using filters of this nature does put a major speedbump in your on location shooting workflow. I really have to slow down and compose my images carefully. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Having a need to be uber careful with my gear, I have slowed down considerably to keep tabs on all the individual parts required to use this filter. I find it necessary to use a tripod with the use of this filter.

Time, properly controlled, can establish the mood and appearance of your photographs and allow you to make a definitive statement. Uncontrolled or carelessly set, it can result in lackluster images that say very little to the viewer.

The Lee Filters 75x90mm Seven5 Big Stopper 3.0 Neutral Density Filter is a solid neutral density filter providing a 10-stop reduction in exposure. This 3.0 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.
This filter is constructed from a high quality optical glass for high definition and clarity. It is compatible with the Seven5 Micro Filter System, which is specifically designed for use with smaller interchangeable lens cameras. This filter measures 75x90mm.
